On February 22 and March 26, 2024, BBB requested that the business modify its website to be in compliance with the BBB Code of Advertising.
BBB noted that the company’s Google description contains the following statements:
"Locally-owned and operated, licensed and insured, radon testing and mitigation. We offer all services related to radon mitigation and measuring. 5+ years experience keeping you and your family safe. New Colorado law requires radon mitigation be done by a licensed professional. Don't be fooled by our unlicensed competitors, go with A&A Radon for all your mitigation needs."
In addition, the business’s Yelp page contains similar representations:
“Licensed radon measurement and mitigation professionals. Radon mitigation of residential homes, keeping you and your family safe. Professional installation at a fair price.”
BBB was unable to verify that the business holds proper licensing through the Colorado Public Utilities Commission. Therefore, BBB requested that the business provide documentation to demonstrate that they do, in fact, hold the required licensing. If this substantiation could not be provided, BBB requested that the business discontinue the advertising in question.
The business did not respond to BBB regarding these matters nor did they revise their advertising.
