      My husband at the time *** was a patient back in July of 2022. At the time of admission authorization was received on an incorrect policy number this resulted in our family paying the whole out of pocket amount on that policy. About half way through his treatment I realized the EOB's had the old policy and contacted Jennifer to get the correct policy billed because he had met his out of pocket in June 2022 prior to admission. Once the claims were being filed with the correct policy Northpoint was receiving denials for no prior authorization. This is not the patient's responsibility but I work in medical billing so I spent hours on the phone with insurance getting the authorization moved to the correct policy and the claims reprocessed to ensure the facility gets paid. At this time ***** was requesting medical records from Northpoint and denied the claims. Northpoint failed to respond to this request but this is not at fault of the patient and does not make the remaining balance patient responsibility. I have had my insurance company call Northpoint to advise of this information also. We are due a very large refund approx $4800 and have not received a response. The only out of pocket we are responsible for is the couple of times after Sept 1st (when coverage ended) where he attended outpatient program. Jennifer gave us an email address of someone else to contact ****************************** which I emailed but have not received a response or acknowledgment it is being worked on.

      We do want to apologize for the miscommunication provided to the patient and his family. I also want to apologize that the email address provided was incorrect which is why a response was never received. We are moving forward with honoring the $4,800 refund request which is being processed the week of 3/10 and sent to the previous patient.
