Precision Design and Construction Inc decided not to complete the project and did not return the deposit of $1000.00

    Business Response

    Date: 03/16/2024

    Dear ***(s),

The dispute of $1000.00 was applied to monies owed from a previous job (materials ordered after the initial bill was paid) and time spent redesigning the current job, 11 hours in total, billed at $75 per hour for redesign and consultation fees, were added to the final invoice. The total still owed was $1000.00. An invoice was sent, and no additional monies are owed or to be refunded.

    Cordially,

I am rejecting this response because there were no monies owed for a previous job (in fact a refund was supposed to be paid - complaint #********) and we made a deposit for a product that to be delivered which the business decided not to complete.

    Sincerely,

A credit of $325 is due because Precision Design was able to use existing top and side bulkheads.A refund of $400 is due because we kept the old unit..

    Customer Answer

    Date: 03/07/2024

Our last communication with  Precision Design and Construction Inc was on the morning of March 1, 2024

    Business Response

    Date: 04/16/2024

As you can see, the amount invoiced included the $325 reduction for the re-use of the original bulkheads. And a reduction from the $400 down to $200 was included for the haul away and dump fee that was not necessary. The full amount of $400 was not deducted due to the labor cost of dismantling and removing the existing unit which amounted to $200. The customer was charged for the products delivered and the labor included to install the products. The additional costs incurred from the previously uploaded final invoice included additional products that were received as well as costs incurred in the multiple re-designs of the newer project. As stated in the earlier response, no additional monies are owed from the customer. the retainer paid on ****** covered all costs.
