Regarding our stay in ***** #** from March 15 - 18, **24, I attempted to resolve via multiple phone calls and 2 follow-up emails:The heater in the downstairs bedroom did not work. I was so cold the first night I could not sleep, and this trip was supposed to be a respite for me to relax and catch up on rest after my recent bout with cancer. The second and third night I had to wear wool socks and multiple layers only to get a partial night's rest. The cabin was not properly cleaned or prepped for our visit: there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, not enough bowls or cups, two of the beds were not made, there was no bedding provided for the pull-out bed, there were only two bath towels and two hand towels, the cabin was not properly sanitized and two of our guests ended up getting sick after our stay, snow/ice was not cleared and one guest slipped and fell. The cabin was not properly stocked for the 8 of us, including: there were only 2 dining room chairs (even by using the living room furniture one of us always had to sit on the floor or stand, and we're not young anymore), there was only 1 bowl in the cupboards, and we were eating a lot of soup over the weekend, which meant we had to use cups, which then meant we never had enough cups to drink from, there were only 2 dishwasher pods, there was only 1 kitchen towel, there was only 1 roll of toilet paper. I provided my credit card information to book the room and called in a week in advance to see if I needed to send my credit card with another guest in order to check in before me, and I was told "no, we will use your card we have on file" but when she arrived to check in she was required to provide her card and was told nothing would be charged to it. We later discovered that her card had been charged, AND we were charged a credit card fee. We called the front desk together to resolve this, and we were told a manager would call us back to reverse the charge and run my card. We never got a call.
