Parker Imports destroyed my ********* engine with ****** miles on it, then acted incredulous when I wanted my car back the way I dropped it off. I asked them to consider buying my car at private party value (which was in excellent condition before) and reselling it. Instead I was told that they were going to do an engine swap on my car, with or without my permission.Eventually I conceded that an engine swap was the best solution, provided I received information on the donor engine. I was never provided any info and as far as I know the engine had ****** more miles than my car. Many new issues were present when I got the car back. Broken plastic parts. A scratched bumper. A squeaking belt. An oil leak and a significant power loss. Incorrect power steering and transmission fluids--confirmed by another shop. Getting help on anything was a battle and I was treated with disdain. During these conversations I once referred to ****, the owner, as "bro". This is my natural dialect. **** snapped at me and suggested I treat him with "respect". Despite my apology, at the end of the conversation he addressed me aggressively as "BRO..." as if to insult my maturity.I was lied to about the leak and power loss. A second shop told me it was my cam plug sensor. It took multiple return trips to get this addressed. The starter went out two days after the swap, when it never had an issue before. I had to argue with **** to get him to pay for it.Over the last ****** miles, the belt squeak got worse and worse. Eventually I realized that whatever engine they gave me had a failing idler pulley when they put it in. That seems odd to me if the engine was supposed to have ****** miles or less. Maybe that explains why I was never given proof of the engines source or mileage.I tried to avoid this review, but your negative attitude earned it--like what happened to my car was somehow my fault and my problem. I would never go back to this or any associated shops.
