I am giving 3 stars based on previous visits to Animal Emergency and Specialty Center. We have brought numerous pets here and have spent thousands of dollars over the years here. We have had several of our dogs treated there with specialty surgeries and illnesses. We brought **** here on a Saturday when our regular vet was full. **** had thrown up several times for a couple of days. He is a dog that sometimes eats parts of toys. We were pretty sure that **** had ******* from our puppy and the extra treats we were feeding him because of the new puppy They wanted to do an x-ray to check for a blockage. The Dr. said that the x-ray showed a blockage, but the radiologist would check it for sure. The Dr. said that the radiologist said that the blockage could pass on its on. Our choices were to do surgery, or keep **** there while giving him fluids to let the blockage pass, or take him home and hope for the best. We chose to keep Zuko there with fluids. The next morning they did another x-ray and thought his colon was twisted even though he wasn't acting like or and that there was a mass on either his spleen, liver, or stomach. We did the test to see if his colon was twisted. It wasn't. My husband visited, **** at the hospital. The Dr. came out and went over details for removing the mass and options for cancer. They wanted to do a ** scan but couldn't until the next day. After we got the results from the ** scan, they found NO BLOCKAGE OR MASSES.Zuko was there for 2 days. It was $5,000. Our regular vet called and his p*** sample came back positive for Giardia. THIS WAS LITERALLY A $5,000 CASE OF GIARDIA! I get that **** is a German Shepherd and prone to many horrible things because of his breed. I wish the Doctors that we talked to would have said that this totally could be nothing instead of advising us on what to do with cancer. It was super traumatizing for us because our other dog recently passed due to cancer.

This clinic doesnt even deserve one star. ****** wont let me post a comment unless I at least give one star. This clinic gouges you for the most money they can get from you. They prey on your fear, worry, hopelessness and ignorance. They push unnecessary labs and tests knowing they could give your pet the one medication he/she needs to start feeling better. My pet checked all the boxes for one infection, but because their Criticalist had never seen a case for this infection before, they didnt want to start the medication needed. They wouldnt even give pain meds when they released my beloved pet. I paid $6,700 for AESC to do nothing. Day 2 the radiologist listed what it was. Day 4 they knew all the boxes were checked for the infection. My dog suffered for 9 days, with the infection growing inside her, while AESC did nothing. I took my pet to **************** (Animal Planets Emergency Vet) with a temperature of ***** and they were shocked that AESC didnt start the medication. I was told the medication doesnt hurt the dogs. Its like giving them a broad-spectrum antibiotic. AESC would not share any information with **************** for a full day. How is any of this in the pets best interest? They dont care about your pet. They only care about the all mighty dollar.
