    **** was referred to us by a friend and, at first, was professional and timely. He met with us several times and created a landscaping plan that covered our entire property and addressed our wants and needs. We broke the design into phases based on the budget and started with the concrete patio and driveway. **** came out to meet with us and confirm the layout of everything. At this time, he painted the design differently than we had drawn on paper, we talked about it more, and he agreed to repaint it before the concrete started. We were going out of town, and one of the main reasons we chose to work with **** was because he guaranteed he would project manage the process in our absence and assured us he would be onsite to ensure everything was done to plan. When we returned from vacation, he was waiting on our doorstep for a check. We paid him before checking the work and realizing they still needed to finish, and the concrete was not poured to the plan. **** immediately cashed the check that afternoon, and the next day when we finally realized what had happened, We reached out to try and correct the issues. ****'s response was, ok, we can, and then he proceeded to quote us more to fix the concrete that was poured incorrectly. Since then, **** has stopped returning our calls, texts, and emails. He owes us at least $5,000 to fix the mistakes with the concrete and repair the gates that his "expert gate builders installed," but at this time, he has wholly ghosted us. We hired bill on 6/8/22; The work started 6/20/22, we paid **** with two checks totaling more than $28,000, paying him in full based on his quote. The concrete was not done to plan and the gates his team built started falling apart the very next day.
