Terrible customer service. I have used this business for a few years. I wear contact lenses and prefer the daily ones but my insurance only allows for a ****** allowance so I have always just ordered a 6 month supply and double wear them to get a years worth ( I know its bad but they are expensive and I just cant afford the full year) fast forward to my last visit, I had my check up, ordered my 6 months, paid the difference and went on my way. About a week later I received a reimbursement check in the mail. We called the office and were told that my prescription was now medically necessary and my contacts were completely covered. Awesome. Within a few weeks I received another 6 month supply in the mail from the office. Months and months go by, all the while I get at least one text message every few weeks from them telling me that I still have benefits and should come in and get more products. I ignore them as I have enough and dont need anymore. They then escalate to emails encouraging me to use my available benefits which I ignore because I have enough. So yesterday I get a bill from Parker vision specialist that I now owe ****** for the second 6 month supply that I never ordered but they sent anyway. We called and spoke to ***** who was very rude and unhelpful and basically told us that we need to take it up with our insurance, which we do. Our insurance calls and also speaks with ***** who proceeds to tell them that she didnt know they needed to have prior authorization before sending our product and wishes our agent good luck in trying to figure out what happened. Our agent tells us that Parker vision specialist never sent in a request for authorization but still chose to send ****** worth of contacts that I either need to return (even though Ive had them for almost a year and been using them) or Im responsible for paying for them. Absolutely absurd! I would not recommend this business, staff is rude and unprofessional. They just want your money.

This patient's contact lenses prescription qualified for medically necessary under her insurance guidelines and this was verified with her insurance plan at the time. Sadly during the process of insurance determination, her insurance company went through a qualification change and in that agreed that once the information was sent they would determine that amount of coverage. After months of going around and around trying to get coverage for this patient, her insurance notified us that they would cover her contact lenses as medically necessary, but they would not cover the full amount and as originally stated. As discussed with the patient we tried everything to get them covered however as insurance sometimes does, they denied the full amount. The patient signed that she read and understood our financial policy stating that benefits coverage is not a guarantee of payment and she would be responsible for anything denied or not covered. We did our best to calmly explain the situation to the patient and her spouse when she called, we gave her options to return the products, which she stated she would  do, and pay for those used, however when she became irate and began cussing at the staff, we  will no longer respond to that type of abuse.

Not surprised about this inaccurate response. My spouse and I were on hold while Eyemed contacted your office and spoke with *****, we heard firsthand that nobody from Parker Vison Specialist followed up to get an approval. Our insurance has absolutely not gone through a qualifying policy change this is completely false! I am still 100% covered and medically necessary according to eyemed . The agent was flabbergasted after checking, multiple times for any requests for approval and found none submitted after the initial for the first 6 months of lenses. As far as me being irate, thats a ridiculous claim. After months of the constant barrage of text messages and emails trying to get me to come in and order more products because I still had benefits and dealing with ***** who is extremely rude I absolutely did get elevated but all I said was that it was BS ( yes I used the full word) that youre business is way more concerned about me using every available dollar you guys assumed I had available to order products I simply didnt need. A little accountability would have gone a long way. Do better.

I had a disappointing experience with Parker Vision Specialists. They sent me a confirmation text message for my appointment, but at no point did they mention anything about a no-show or late fee penalty. Unfortunately, when I missed the appointment, I was surprised to find that they charged me a fee without any prior warning or notification. I understand businesses need to protect their time, but clear communication is key. It would have been much more professional to include a reminder or at least mention the fee policy upfront. This experience left me feeling blindsided and dissatisfied with their service.

As previously explained when this fee was applied, our no show policy is listed in the text message that you received upon scheduling your appointment, as well as in the reminder texts that you received prior to your appointment. We apologize that you did not fully read through these messages, however you have confirmed with our office that you received these messages and did not show up to an appointment that you scheduled and made no effort to let the office know you would not be coming in. We make an effort to accommodate last minute changes, illness and other unforeseen circumstances, and we did waive the first no show fee for the initial appointment you missed without warning, however when you missed a second appointment a fee is assessed and will not be waived out of respect for our clinic time.
