I recently sold my home in **************** and the *** that governed my townhome requested information regarding my hot water heater installation that Lerum replaced in 2013. The information needed was whether or not the installation required that the installer (**** Lerum, owner of the business at the time) needed to install up to the roof area during the time of replacement. When I contacted **** directly at the time he said "no never had to go near the roof venting ever". Satisfied with the answer I asked him to write me up a letter when he replaced the hot water heater and to his findings as he explained to me so I could give to my ***. He asked me for the serial number of the hot water heater which I provided. Shortly after I received his letter, barely legible along with a fee attached of $100 dollars. I was dumbfounded as to the fee given the extend of a few sentences he put together saying yes I did the work on this day and this the serial number of the unit replaced (which I provided) and that he never installed up to the roof vent . I questioned the outrageous charge and reminded him that I have been a customer for over 10 years with him recharging my a/c and replacement, hot water heater replacement and numberous HVAC cleaning and parts replaced over the years. Never did I dispute his charges or services in the past but merely getting a scribbled, 3 or 4 sentence letter together and charging me a $100 was really crossing the line with me. I am also aware that recently he wanted to retire but lost property in ****** from a result of fire/lava. I feel like he's desperate now and is now charging these fees to make up the difference. Sad he has forgotten his "bread and butter" customers and is now on a quest for charging high fees for merely a simple request . He lost my business and I would not recommend him for anyone.

*** and Mrs. ***** contacted LHLLC on 8/26/24 at 3:01pm in regard to what he was in need from us right away for the sale of his home as there was water stains coming from the vent in the ceiling. He requested information on a job that was done in 2013 for his W/H that was installed by LHLLC and verification about venting. They were insistent on getting this information written up by us all the way through our after-hours 7:19pm in which we emailed them what they requested after going through research/calls/and office time getting it to them. According to our phone records we exchanged 5 calls (22 min), 12 texts (amount of time spent on text tbd), 2 emails on this work order, and the office time that had to go into it for the write up and email exchanges. This job was not just a one call conversation and a couple minutes of a write up. There was an approx all together total of communication back and forth/research/write up/and office time of 4hrs. We billed the customer $100 in which we found to be more than fair especially due to it mostly being asked for it to be done after our business hours. We billed him for this along with his write up to help him with his HOA and sale of his home. We sent him an email yesterday 9/24/24 requesting payment on the 30 days past due invoice and he sent an email stating he was upset and going to report us. He claimed that we were charging high fees because of a major personal situation that we encountered over 7 years ago. This is far from the truth and insulting. We still have some of the best prices in town since 2003 and have always tried to be fair to our customers. *** ***** is upset because he was invoiced for our services, that we put time into to help him with the sale of his home. We are sad to see him upset however we would not have a business if we ran it for free. He has been an appreciated customer throughout 10 years and has provided us with a water heater replacement and some service calls.  We do not see this review to be fair and is a defamation of character to LHLLC as we did put time into this, we did it right away even after hours as they requested and find it to be a fair charge. We request this review to be removed. Respectfully, Lerum Heating LLC
