    I filed a service request with ******** **** ****** day assigned McCormick to come out and service my ceiling fan the tech came out said it was an old fan and that I need to replace it but he needed to get up there to take pictures of the wires in order for it to be covered by *** I told him I don’t think that’s the problem I’ve researched and found that the fan receiver for the remote blinks off and on the fan does not work has several complaints about the remote with the same situation I explain to him it was not the fan it is doing the same thing that everyone else had reviewed about the receiver in the fan ceiling and it needed to be replaced I had explain that to McCormick when I called to make the original appointment and she said she was going to send out a technician anyway that she didn’t know that he would replace the receiver but she wanted to send somebody out anyway Tech did not replace a receiver he just said it was bad just by looking at it now I try to get a hold of *** they are outsource to a different country and McCormick said they do not work directly with ******** **** ****** and they said they would give me a new fan but it’s totally Worthless to us The ceiling fan they want to give us is very generic and basic which has strings to function it which the ceiling fan is 9 feet to 10 feet tall so that is not an option for us since I am 5 foot I want my money back I don’t care if they have to go through *** they have a contract with them they should take care of it because I can’t take care of it when *** representatives don’t even understand what I’m trying to tell them and they just keep emailing McCormick again and again an never follow up with me it is so frustrating I can’t believe that McCormick receptionist yelled at me hung up and said she was not going to Refund *** so we can get our $100 deductible back she was very rude and hateful this needs to be escalated to a higher management or owner

    Thank you for bringing your concern to our attention. We apologize for any unprofessional interaction you had with a receptionist and will addressing this situation immediately. With your concern for a refund unfortunately we collected no money from you, so we are unable to refund any kind of money. We understand that getting ahold of your warranty company may be difficult, but since they are who you paid you must get ahold of them directly to get your money back. We have no way to directly contact whoever you pay your money to since we are a contractor for them. We would suggest asking for an escalation when contacting them - we have customers who go through the same warranty who have experienced this issue and have seen better results through escalations. We have also not received any emails from *** regarding your work order other than confirming that the fan we offer has the same amount of light bulbs and blades. We do understand going through a warranty company can be frustrating when it comes to replacement as they do not provide the exact replacement for any fixtures or fans. We did reach out to our rep to confirm the requirements for ceiling fan replacements in all electrical contracts and confirmed that since *** does not provide fans any contractor can replace a blade for blade and light bulb for light bulb. Any customer can provide an upgraded fixture of their choice and *** covers all labor. If you have any additional questions please feel free to call the office back and to speak to Taylor or Jesse.
