    My complaint is that I am having immense difficulty getting my security deposit . My boyfriend and I moved into Skyview Apartments November 2023 and moved out end of October 2024. Our security deposit was $1000, nothing was deducted from security deposit related to damage, but utilities were taken out, resulting in what should have been a reimbursement around $650. We have not been able to get this money back. It is a long and story so I will attempt to simplify it below:1. Moved out end of Oct 2023 2. Did not receive a security deposit check, until the end of the year, the check was for $500. I did not deposit this to my bank because it was not the full amount I should have received back. 3. Disputed this, called emailed, sat in the office, after at least 2 dozen calls and a couple trips to the office, by February 4th we received an additional check for about $160. Did not deposit this check yet because my bank told me I needed to deposit it in person in ************, so I wanted until I got home early March. 4. On Jan 10th, once we received confirmation that we would receive additional $160 we attempted to mobile deposit the original check for $500, mobile deposit didnt work. 5. ************** deposit didnt work, we went to the issuing bank in pueblo, ** to cash the $500 check on Feb 3rd. Bank was not able to deposit it because it was "flagged" because of the mobile deposit attempt. 6. Called the office on Feb 4th, requested a new check for $500 be issued, was told they are waiting to hear from corporate about when. 7. After multiple phone calls, was told $500 check would be sent to ** address the first week of March. 8. March 11: Called the office because haven't received the check yet. I was told they provided another $159 check by mistake. Was told by the latest I will be sent the $500 by March 18th. 9. March 18: $159 check I deposited was "Stopped payment". Called office and they did not send $500 check yet, requested replacement $159 check.

    We did receive the email that Miss ****** did file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in regard to how long it took for her to receive her security deposit. However, as of Tuesday the 8th of April at 4:02 PM she received the remaining deposit check. Please let us know if there is anything we need to do to close this out.
