      I am writing to formally address an issue with the handling of my account closure request and the resulting fees. In December of last year, as I was preparing to move out of state, I contacted your institution to request that my account be closed. Despite my request, the account was not closed, and I was informed during subsequent calls that I would need to visit the branch in person to complete the closure, which was not feasible given my ************* the time of my original request, the account was in good standing. However, a charge was allowed to go through, causing the balance to go negative by $4. Since then, fees have continued to accrue, leading to a balance exceeding $100. The account has now been closed, but only after these fees were applied, which I believe is unjust, as the account should have been closed when I first requested it.
