The order said it was #*** which lead me to believe I was getting *** pounds of meat. Most of the steaks were less than a half pound. When I asked about it I was told I got more steaks than 15 that come in the bundle. I got 65 pounds of meat for 1/4 cow. I have purchased 1/4 from other places for years and have never got such small steaks and little amount of meat. I just want what is owed to me from my order. Communication was very poor as well.

After seeing an advertised special for $7.50/lb for beef if you pay a $900 deposit, I purchased 1/2 a cow from Winters Ranch using our credit card. When time for delivery arrived, she asked that I pay the final payment of $750 through Venmo. We scheduled a drop off day/time. She said I would need to pay the butcher fee upon drop off. She messed up the drop off time. I had to have my daughter be there since I had to go to work. My daughter gave her a check for $420. She texted me and said that something was wrong. She had been there last fall when we had meat delivered so she knew how much should be there. She said there wasn't nearly enough. When I got home there was half the amount of meat that should have been there. During a texting conversation, the owner said that it was a small cow and that the deal was $7.50 for the "hanging weight" of the cow...WHAT?!?! We paid a total of $2090 for 107 lbs of meat. I have the text conversation but couldn't figure out how to download it. In it she states that hang weight was *****. *****x47.5=$1211.25 and the butcher fee was $350 and the delivery $75 totaling $1636.35. Even using her hanging weight deception, that amount is still $453.65 under what we paid! We cancelled the check to the butcher. That still leaves $53.65 over an overpayment. If you read the complaints from others below, you will see that it is her habit to be deceptive and sneaky. We reached out to the butcher who said they did not do business with her and that most meat processors in the area have "black listed" her. The only reason she got an appointment this time was because she had her daughter call in and use her name...WOW! Several families have been taken advantage of including military families (so wrong.) Please help!

    Dear *****, *******

Thank you for bringing this issue to my attention. I deeply regret any confusion or frustration youve experienced with your purchase. Its important to me that every customer feels confident and satisfied with their transaction.

I want to address each of your concerns:

    1. **Hanging Weight Clarification**: The $7.50/lb price was indeed based on the "hanging weight" of the cow, which was ***** lbs. I understand that this might not have been clearly communicated, and I apologize for any misunderstanding. The hanging weight is a common industry practice, which means you pay for the weight of the carcass before it is trimmed down to the cuts you receive. This does result in receiving less meat than the hanging weight.

    2. **Payment and Overpayment**: I see that you calculated an overpayment of $453.65. Based on my records, the total cost should have been $1636.35, which includes the hanging weight, butcher fee, and delivery. I want to resolve this discrepancy promptly. If an overpayment was made, I will ensure you receive a refund for the difference. Subtract  the Check that you have cancelled and the $900 charge back.

    3. **Delivery and Butcher**: I apologize for the issues with the delivery timing and any inconvenience this caused. Regarding the 2.5 hour drive time from butcher and other delivery ?? that was in route , I would like to clarify that the butcher we work with is a trusted partner, and there may have been a misunderstanding. If you have any concerns about this, Im more than willing to discuss it further to clear up any confusion.

I genuinely want to make this right. With the cancellation of checks that was written and the charge back done you still owe money for the beef.

Thank you for your understanding, and I look forward to resolving this matter with you.

    Sincerely,
    Winters Ranch, Manager

I do not agree with the amount suggested to be paid. There has never been an invoice, anything itemized, or a receipt. The numbers don't line up. After speaking with the meat processor, I don't agree with the amount charged. Contrary to what is implied, there is definitely not a good rapport between this business and the meat processor. I did reach out to him to ask if I could share what he said, but he is on vacation. I'll try again when he gets back. I don't want to share his comments without his permission.

I ordered 1/4 bundle of beef in specific cuts which was advertised as 75 lbs. The price was $650. I also ordered 20 lbs of ground beef which was $120. I gave her $120 cash at pickup. The rest was to be paid by credit card later. I also ordered 1/2 side of beef which I paid a $650 down payment for pickup at a later date. The day of pickup for the 1/4 bundle was 12/12/22, she was late and I was in a hurry to get to a family event so I quickly took the boxes she gave me home and put them in the freezer. On 12/14/22 I went out to look at my purchase and it was not the cuts I was promised and it was missing 25 lbs. I sent her a message saying I thought I was missing a box. She replied that she packed it herself she said she has no ribeye and she had switched out brisket for tenderloin, I told her there was no tenderloin and she argued with me so I took pictures of what I had, to which she replied that strip steaks are part of the tenderloin. At this point I told her I no longer wanted to order from her and she has sent many erratic, harassing messages. She still advertises this 1/4 bundle on ******** even though she doesn't have the cuts. I told her we want to return all of this and will bring it to the police station. She charged my credit card another $750 for the 1/2 cow. I don't want to buy anything. According to another review she cheats people on 1/2 beef too. I want to return this and I want my $120 plus my $1400 returned. She forged my name on the cut sheet to the butcher. I didn't fill it out but she is saying I did. The ground beef came in unmarked clear sleeves, there are no correct weights on anything. We weighed it ourselves. This is a scam.

    1) I called and told the customer I would be late for 1/4  due to a flat tire. bundle delivery at the time of delivery she said she did not have funds for the 1/4 bundle she paid cash for 1lb package 20lb of the ground beef bundle. I gave her the 1/4 bundle since she made a deposit on the 1/2 side of beef.

    2) On the day of the butcher for 1/2 beef she wanted to cancel her order I told her that it was too late beef was at the butcher. She put down 1/2 a deposit for 1/2 beef. she never paid me for the 1/4 beef bundle! she got very upset when I told her that she would only get 1/4 back from the butcher since she never paid for the 1/4 bundle. she said that she was missing meat 4 days after we delivered her bundle I offered to give her an extra 20lb she refused the meat. she also said she would be taking the other meat to the police station I called the police station nothing was dropped off to them. I have also told her that her beef is at the ******* in her name she needs to fill out a cut sheet for her meat. this is the process with all customers not just her. she refused! she has also has not picked up her 1/4 beef cut from ***** processing. At this point, I refuse to take back the 1/4 beef bundle that she never paid for! I don't know if it is properly stored she also said she used some of the meat out of it as well! She has done a dispute to try to get her money back from 1/2 the beef. She is made that I am taking 1/4 out of 1/2 but I need to be paid for products. She also failed to mention that we gave her a 10lb pork bundle for Free $100 value.
