Steamboat Fishing Adventures and I spoke on Friday afternoon, March 17, 2023 at 3:55 pm regarding an ice fishing tour to be done on Monday morning, March 20, 2023. Time and place were agreed upon as 9:00 am at the Stagecoach Reservoir Main Marina parking lot. We purchased one day fishing licenses as required and then paid an entrance fee to Stagecoach State Park that morning, which was the last day of our stay in Steamboat Springs. The company failed to show up or notify us that the tour would be cancelled.

We remained at the park for over an hour and a half waiting for them to arrive and even left the park to attempt to contact them as there was no cellular service in the park. Those, both phone and text, went unanswered until 11:37 am at which time their staff left us a message that we would have to reschedule. We attempted to call them later that afternoon in which the phone went straight to voicemail.

Again, their staff called on March 21, 2023 at 4:00 pm to apologize for staffing shortages leading to "cancellation of trips." I was on a flight from Dallas to Pensacola on our way home at the time.

At this point, I am requesting a refund of our park access and state fishing licenses for the failure of Steamboat Fishing Adventures to live up to their end of the agreement. The total for this is $48.02, the cost of two licenses and park access.

I emailed this request to them on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 10:52 am. At the time of writing this, Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 1:42 pm, I have not heard from Steamboat Fishing Adventures.

We did unfortunately run into a issue with staff towards the end of the season. I did the best that I could to take care of clients towards the end while we dealt with the unfortunate circumstances. My book keeper was helping me reschedule trips and I unfortunately did not catch wind of the refund requested from this particular party. I would like to refund them 100% as well as offer them a free trip on us next time they are in the valley. Please let me know where to send the check and to whom and I will gladly do so. Again, I would also like to offer them a free fishing trip when they are back in the valley. I am sorry for the inconvenience as it was a very unfortunate circumstance that  became out of my control.

I have reviewed the response made by the business, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me should they refund the money as requested..
