• Media blasting is a process in which an abrasive material, such as recycled crushed glass or ground walnut hulls, is pushed out of a hose at high pressure to remove the existing surface revealing fresh clean wood. This is the preferred method of Log Masters Restorations!
• Chemical stripping utilizes an Eco-Friendly gel stripper sprayed on the entire home, that reaches into the pores of the wood to release paint or other film building products. After the instructed dwell time, the house is then pressure washed clean reveal a new clean wood surface. Although rarely used, this is very effective!
• Log rot can sound scary, but rest assured our name speaks for itself! Our crews are trained to hunt down problem areas and get them fixed immediately! Our experts will cut the affected area out of the house and replace it with a half or full log, depending on the severity, and seal it water tight to prevent any further issues. • Staining is an important process to protect your home from the environment. We use only high quality stains from the top log home suppliers. With a wide variety of colors to choose from between our water based stain and oil penetrating stain, we will help you select to best look and protection for your home.
• Chinking is very important to maintain! While also providing a great look to large round or beam style log homes, keeping the gaps sealed helps conserve energy by reducing wind draft and unwanted elements from entering your home causing you to constantly play with the thermostat!

• Sanding is an elective when it comes to a media blasted home. While not necessary, it does provide a nice look and can remove any problem areas that may have been left behind by blasting. It, however, is an important step after chemical stripping a log home. Pressure washing can leave a wood surface fuzzy or splinters. Sanding will bring back that fresh milled look!
• Pressure washing is used when we wash the house and anytime we use a chemical striping agent. Washing the home is done at a lower pressure than the stripping process. When washing to remove old finishes, a high pressure intensive wash is necessary.
