  I purchased an item on ********* I paid for the shipping of the item. I believe the item came from **********************, and is being shipped to my house in ********* *******. I get an Email from Platinum Cargo Logistics and they are asking for ins. for the package to be released to be shipped from their warehouse they have to have $150 ins. They say its refundable. I'm thinking this weird! So, I send it to them thru PayPal, and said to use friends and family (they're a business) but I complied! Then, I get another email, their asking for customs expenses, I said no, no more money! I don't even have anything to show for the money I have paid out! I haven't heard from them, and I want my package. If it matters, it's a Classic car part I need! I don't know what else to do. Please read the emails and let me know what can be done. Thank you.

  First, I apologize that we did not respond to this complaint. Any emails that were sent to Platinum Cargo Logistics were filtered as spam. The first communication that we received was on December 18th.
  
  Unfortunately, this customer was scammed by someone trying to spoof us using a similar name, Platinum Cargo Logistic vs our real name, Platinum Cargo Logistics (note we have an S in logistics). This fake entity created a fake website (*********************************************************************),which appears to be based on our company and intended to trick visitors into thinking they are a legitimate shipping company located in the same city and state as we are. It caused confusion with several of our customers and consumer confusion. The registrant's address on file with ICANN and Whois is a single-family home in ***********, **, when they claim to be located in ***********, **. We reported the abuse immediately to their web host, and the site was taken down, but it reappeared under a new host. It took numerous attempts, but it appears that the fake website has been taken down and has finally stayed down. 

  Global ************ Abuse Team has all of the necessary documentation to investigate the matter and take actions where they deem appropriate.
