Noco Concrete installed a Polyaspartic floor covering in August 2014. The product has a 10 year warranty. In early June I noticed several spots in one area of the garage where the floor covering was falling. I contacted the company immediately and was told that I was added to the warranty repair list. I was told that this was a very busy time of year. Over the last four and a half months, I have called numerous times. The message from the person that I talked to that she would forward the information to the owner. The latest time was Monday of last week; again with no response. I simply want my garage floor repaired in accordance with the warranty, but the owner will not contact me. I have already submitted pictures to the company.Business Response

HAS THIS PERSON SENT A COPY OF HIS INVOICE TO YOU? NOCO CONCRETE LLC HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR 5 YEARS APPROX. HE SENT MY OFFICE A INVOICE FROM 2014 FROM ......NORTHERN COLORADO PROTECTIVE COATINGS LLC IN *****************; I BELIEVE. PLEASE ASK FOR HIS COPY .Customer Answer

*****: Here is the follow-up information on my complaint. I have attached the two invoices and the warranty along with the text messages. I have also included 1 of 6 pictures that I have that document failure to the coating.
First, I would like to address the issue of whether or not I filed the complaint against the correct company. In the documentation that I see on the complaint, the owner appears to say that NOCO Concrete has only been in business for 5 years and that I sent an invoice from Northern Colorado Protective Coatings in ************ (how does that make sense. The copies that I sent you are identical to what I sent to NoCo Concrete in JUne.). There are 3 things that I believe counter that statement. 1.The phone number on the invoice that I submitted to you is identical to the phone number listed on the BBB website. 2.The BBB website also identifies 2 alternative names for NOCO Concrete: Northern Colorado Protective Coatings (The same name that is on our invoices.) and NoCo Protective Coatings. 3. The text messages clearly indicate that NoCo Concrete is the company involved here. My conversations with NoCo Concrete began on or shortly before June 10, 2024. The opening statement is: "Hello! This is ****** with NoCo concrete..." Later in the texts ****** indicates that NoCo Concrete has put me on the warranty repair list.
While Mr. ******* may have only been operating under the name NoCo Concrete for 5 years it is clear that his company has been operating in ******* for at least ************************************************************* June of this year, this was clearly within the 10 year warranty period, which was described as an "IRON CLAD 10 year warranty, will last 20 plus years."
The part of the floor where the failures have occurred are in in the same area of the floor--one section appears to be the problem area. I have more pictures that I can send, but was limited by your program to 5 attachments
I just want the company to honor the warranty.

Had **** with NOCO come out and do our 3 car driveway, the sidewalk to the front door and a small patio. Within 2 weeks we had some pretty significant cracking which **** came out and "repaired" it a couple of times by smearing something over the tops of the cracks that reappeared days later. We've also noticed some concerning pooling against the house and contacted **** to come look at our concerns 2 months before the 1 year warranty expired. We had to reach out multiple times to get a response and were told "I'll come by this week". The week came and went and follow up texts have been ignored. We would like a partial refund from him based on what a concrete contractor of our choosing says needs to be done about the cracking, and pooling, if anything. NOCO's refusal to address the issues is concerning. If it wasn't a big deal, why not come look at it and explain why?Business Response

AS PER CONTRACT THERE IS A 1 YEAR WARRANTY ON ALL HAIRLINE SURFACE CRACK TO BE FILLED BY NOCO CONCRETE IF THEY ARISE . THIS IS NOT AN ISSUE AND WAS DONE AND CAN BE DONE AGAIN NO PROBLEM. EVERYONE NEEDS TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS COLORADO AND ALL CONCRETE WILL CRACK IN COLORADO. THOSE SMALL HAIRLINE CRACKS HAPPEN ALL THE TIME AND ARE NOT STRUCTURAL WITH ALL THE ***** THAT IS IN THE CUSTOMERS DRIVEWAY.
AS FOR PUDDLING, IF THIS WAS JUST SUCH A BIG ISSUE THEN WHY 10 MONTHS LATER MENTION IT ? AND THIS IS SIMPLY SOLVED WITH A SMALL RELIEF HOLE OR 2 DRILLED THRU WHICH WE CAN DO AS WELL.
AS FOR ANY REFUND PAID, THAT IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN AFTER ALMOST A YEAR #1 AND #2 THE DRIVEWAY AND PATIO BEING MORE THEN 99% PERFECT. WOULD YOU CUT OFF YOUR HAND AT THE ***** BECAUSE YOU HAVE A HANGNAIL? NO, YOU SIMPLY TRIM THE HANGNAIL AND MOVE ON BEING THAT ITS COSMETIC.

His response is what it is and clearly will not even attempt to resolvethe issue or even have a conversationwith us aboutour concerns which is extremely unprofessional.
Our complaint still stands that he refused to even respond to inquiries and allowed the warranty to run out without even attempting to address the issue. The only way we received a response was through a complaint the the BBB because it makes him look bad.
I didn't respond because I was having trouble accessing messages and forgot to try from my computer which finally worked.

AS I WAS SENT A MESSAGE FROM THE BBB AND TOLD A COUPLE WEEKS AGO THIS COMPLAINT WAS " OFFICIALLY CLOSED " AND I WOULD LIKE THE BBB TO SHOW ON THE RECORD THAT THIS WAS SAID TO BE "OFFICIALLY CLOSED" SO THE PUBLIC CAN SEE THAT IT WAS CLOSED.........BUT NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN IT GETS "RE OPENED " AGAIN MAGICALLY. I GUESS THERE NEVER IS AN OFFICIALLY CLOSED WITH THE BBB. THIS MATTER WILL BE ADDRESSED AND DEALT WITH AND IS PROBABLY A 10 MINUTE FIX. WE ARE VERY BUSY FINISHING UP THE END OF OUR SEASON AND EVERYONE WANTS TO BE 1ST ON THE LIST. AND AS STATED, THIS MATTER WAS SUPPOSED TO BE OFFICIALLY CLOSED AS PER THE BBB.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: We are not interested in the business coming to drill "relief holes" in our concrete which doesn't seem to be a good solution from my research and conversations with other professionals. If the business was so happy and willing to address the issue, the question stands as to why they refused to respond to our questions and inquiries. In his response he admitted we asked questions about concrete before the warranty expired, he never came to even look at the issues we had questions about and dismissed them as cosmetic without even seeing them. He didn't know if he would even need to do any warranty work and we didn't know if anything even needed to be done. We just wanted to have a conversation about our concerns.
We do not find any of his offered solutions to be satisfactoryand do not want them perfomed.
We thank the BBB for attempting to find a resolution with the company but it doesn't appear to be possible at this time. We would ask that the record show that the business offered an unsatisfactory solution and we remain unsatisfied

On 5/4/18 we had our outdoor garage coated. This coating has a 5 year outdoor warranty. About 3 years afterward the coating has started to flake off on 2 sides. We have called the company multiple times, left voice messages many times, spoke in person to the owner once at the Greeley Home and Garden Show and were assured that someone would be out to correct the problem. At this time 12/2/22 no one has done that.Business Response

IN RESPONSE TO THE COMPLAINT BY MR ******, TO SITUATION HAS BEEN IN THE PROCESS OF BEING HANDLED FOR A WHILE NOW AND UNFORTUNETLY IS TAKING LONGER THAN EXPECTED DUE TO A SUPPLY ISSUE. THE JOB HAS 2 COLORS OF QUARTZ SAND IN THE COATING. THE ONE COLOR HAS BEEN AVAILABLE THRU THE MOST OF THE COVID SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES BUT THE ISSUE IS THE SECOND COLOR. IT WAS CUSTOM AND A SPECIAL ORDER. IT TOOK SERIOUS TIME TO GET IT FINALLY IN AND WHEN IT ARRIVED IT WAS ALREADY AROUND HALLOWEEN LAST YEAR AND TO COLD TO APPLY ON AN OUTDOOR PROJECT FOR PROPER ADHESION. WE HAVE THE 5 BAGS OF CUSTOM COLOR IN OUR SHOP AND ARE WAITING FOR THE WARMER WEATHER TO APPLY IT. OUR SUPPLY CHAIN AS WITH MANY OTHER CONTRACTORS WAS SEVERLY HINDERED IN THE LAST COUPLE YEARS AND STILL IS WITH OTHER PRODUCTS AS WELL. TRYING OUR BEST BUT CANT PERFORM MIRACLES AND HAVE THINGS MAGICALLY DELIVERED. MR ****** AND HIS WIFE ARE SUPER NICE FOLKS AND I WILL TAKE CARE OF THIS ISSUE FOR THEM AS SOON AS IT WARMS UP FOR SURE.
