  We hired Kevin in February for a $28K bathroom remodel. He seemed professional and promised the job would take one week. After a $10K deposit, demolition was done in 3 days—but then the workers disappeared for weeks, blaming fixture delays. On day one, we made a few changes — a soaker tub and gold fixtures instead of black — and were told the timeline would now be about three weeks. That was understandable. Kevin sent his assistant Rodney, who was completely unqualified. He brought a piece of quartz and asked if we wanted it polished or unpolished—something the supplier said didn’t even make sense.
  Tiling was done weeks later, but without grout or sealing. After a month, we still had no functioning bathroom. Kevin asked for another $10K even though less than half the work was done. Painting was also botched due to Rodney's poor communication. Our popcorn ceiling was ruined when Rodney claimed they could fix it—but they didn’t have the tools or skill, and just brushed on texture with paint.
  Still no sinks/faucets, unfixed toilet, not sealed tiles and vanity tops cut for the wrong sink design. Rodney became argumentative and accused us of lying, despite written proof. Kevin then went silent, citing surgery, and never responded again. Rodney admitted they don’t pre-order items or have an office—contradicting what we were told earlier.
  After two months of delays, we fired them and completed the job with another contractor. Their quartz fabricator, who had been misrepresented — helped us directly and resolved issues within a day, for a lower cost.
  Lessons before dealing with Kevin: order items yourself, tie payments to progress, avoid Rodney at all costs, and don’t hire anyone who won’t supervise their team in person. We regret ever working with this team. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and accountability was shocking.
  If Rodney responds to this review with the same level of deflection and threats, we are fully prepared to take legal action.

  We take customer feedback seriously, but we must clarify that we never had a contract to perform any work at your property. Your statements regarding our business are not only inaccurate but also defamatory.
  It’s unfortunate that you feel the need to make false claims, especially when no agreement was ever in place. Defamation of our business in an attempt to misrepresent the facts is not taken lightly. We take pride in our professionalism and quality of work, as reflected by our many satisfied customers.
  If you have any legitimate concerns, we are happy to address them professionally. However, if these false statements continue, we will be forced to explore legal options to protect our business.
