Hello! My husband and I used 1800MrJunker to remove some junk off our property in lieu of a dumpster. When I booked the truck, I asked for a 15 cubic foot truck and was told that my price would be $595 based on my location (price of a full truck) and I could apply a 10% coupon towards that from the company. The secretary did tell me that if there were any large items, there could be an additional charge for them. We did have a heavy fountain, so we were charged an extra $30 for it, which was fine. I was assured there would be no hidden charges (other than taxes), and was expecting to spend between $550-$600. The truck came, and after loading the truck the drivers informed my husband that the cost would be $850. The company sent a 30 cubic foot truck and did not inform my husband the price difference of the different size of this truck. The did not pack the truck efficiently, and ended up filling 3/4 of the truck, resulting in the higher price we were charged. They wanted to refuse to use the coupon, but after my husband argued with them, they applied the 10% discount. The drivers also said that their boss would have a big problem if the drivers unloaded the truck after the work was done. I spoke with the owner and he says his driver claims that he told my husband prior to loading the truck what the price could be, but that is incorrect as they didn't go over price until the work was already done. I feel we were lied to and manipulated into spending more money than was planned, as if they had sent the truck I requested and filled that space, then the company would have fulfilled what I had asked for. Instead, I feel the drivers packed the truck inefficiently so we would have to spend more money than planned. We have it recorded on our Ring Doorbell of how they were loading the truck, and a receipt from the transaction is attached. I would appreciate any help you can provide - ideally, I'd like to be refunded the $235 I was charged for the extra 1/4 of the truck.

****** ***** was quoted a minimum of $595.00 which is 15 yards, our truck is 30 yards, most of the time our driver takes the 30 yard truck to big jobs like this in case there is actually more to haul away instead of going back.  Upon arriving to the job our Field Supervisor is instructed to assess the job and give a more accurate quote.  Mike, our Field Supervisor on this job spoke to Mr. ***** and let him know the job would be $850.00.  He said OK, go ahead with it, ****** was busy on the phone.  Both of them had the opportunity to say No, we do not want to go ahead with it, instead they chose to get the job done first, pay for services and then later call to complain about the price.   ******'s husband agreed to the price he was quoted on site by the Field Supervisor and his helper also heard him agree to it.  ****** called after they left asking for a refund of $235.00, I told her I would relay her message to the owner and Pat (owner) discussed what had happened with the driver and helper and called her back verifying what she was charged was correct and her husband signed for it.  They were both aware of the price.  You can't eat steak and later complain about price.
