I was in an accident on 12/22/22 and my car was towed to ******* in **** **. They diagnosed my car with several things broken and other things as well. Ex: oil change, full brakes redone, transmission fluid, cracked muffler, missing oxygen sensor etc…. They told me they dont work with insurance companies and I would have to pay them directly and get reimbursed by my insurance. So I had my car towed to another shop who also did a full diagnostics on my car and determined ******* was not being honest. None of the things diagnosed were actually needing repair, I also had an adjustir from Progressive car insurance look at the car and also confirmed ******* was not telling me the truth. ******* charged me $275 to diagnose my car and tell me all lies. I want my money back and I want to report them for fraud

Ms. ******** complaint eliminates information associated with the work completed on the vehicle.

The vehicle was towed to ******* after a collision with a tree. We have attached a number of photos which we provided to Ms. ****** from our digital inspection of the vehicle showing the remaining wood and damage on the vehicle.

Upon receipt of the vehicle, ******* informed Ms. ****** that we would charge an initial diagnostic fee to asses the status of the car. Included in this review is a complete analysis of ALL maintenance recommendations - and in this case some of this was outside of the scope of the initial accident. We complete this full review of the vehicle on all diagnostics. We have attached pictures and notations from the inspection.

After the inspection, we discussed our analysis of both the accident repair (which would be an insurance discussion) and our additional recommendations for service maintenance. We also noted that while we understood Ms. ******** desire to work with her insurance (Progressive) we would need to be paid (non check) completely prior to release of vehicle. Ms. ****** and her insurance company (as others routinely do) could decide means of payment for any approved and insured services as this was her relationship.

Upon completion of this discussion, Ms. ****** decided to remove the vehicle and repair at another location, as was her right. We stand by the process and analysis of Ms. ******** repair needs and will continue to provide a complete analysis of each vehicle for repair.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The gentleman working actually refused to work with my insurance and told me I would have to pay them which I stated wouldnt be an issue. However The reason I am wanting a refund is because the diagnostics that was done was not accurate. They falsified information and diagnosed my car with things that were not broken nor needing repair. I would not have an issue paying for a diagnostics when the information provided isnt fraudulent. I have paperwork to show what my car was diagnosed with from another  mechanics shop. As well as the safety check that was done by the shop as well as the adjustor None of the diagnoses ******* gave me were true. They “diagnosed” my car with a hunch of fake things needed repair just to get my money. If the better business cant help me that is ok. I gave since reached out to a lawyer and provided all the information. So we will be going to court with this. But thank you for your time

    Sincerely,

    ******* ******
