      I have spent thousands of dollars with this company over the past ten years. A few years ago some bulbs has to be returned, with some restocking fees. Mainly due to a misunderstanding
      Subsequently they refused to take any orders from me. Unless, oddly enough, my father ordered them and on his credit card. I'm 53 and don't need Dad's permission!
      I believe strongly in developing good business relationships. And since the restocking incident I have made numerous efforts to reestablish my business relationship with them,
      but never once have they shown reciprocity. Every time I would make even a small order they would immediately call my father who would then tell them to cancel the order. This has made me very angry and hurt. They told me it was an issue with Dad but he has nothing to do with it.He must have told them not to accept any orders from Mr (53yo, an M.D., and a eucharistic minister??)
      The company should have told him to talk to me if he had an issue with my orders. Why would this company agree with my father and not allow am order? In fact they have told me I can never order anything ever again.
      And they have been quite rude to me on the phone several times. They obviously have NO sense of nurturing business relationships. I have worked in sales for years and relationships are what it's all about. They won't even let me put my foot in the door with a very small order.
      So all the thousands of dollars I have spent on them and attempts at fostering business relationships is for naught. What happened years ago is water under the bridge and should be forgotten. They think they don't need my business??
      Fortunately there are plenty of better companies who are happy to take my business, and they don't require Daddy's permission or his credit card either! And you know, I enjoy working with them because they care about building personal business relationships with their customers.
      I'm not seeking business with VanEngelen-- they don't deserve it.
