      In February of 2022, we contracted with Lambert Home Improvement to remodel a small bathroom in our home, which included replacing a bathtub with a new shower tub and installing new tile flooring. The work, which took longer to complete than was promised, was completed on April 24. A little over a month later, we noticed that the grout was cracking and disintegrating in several places on the floor and one of the tiles started to loosen from the mortar. We contacted Mr. Lambert (by phone calls and text messages) for several months about the issue. He would make promises to return to address it but would not show up. He would make excuses for the no-shows - he was sick; on another job out of state; out of the country due to a death in the family. He eventually returned in mid-January of 2023. He indicated that the problem stemmed from the use of old mortar. He removed the old mortar, cleaned the tile backing, put down fresh mortar and replaced the tile. He also cleaned and regrouted the areas where the previous grout cracked and disintegrated. In May of 2023, we contacted Mr. Lambert again because the tile he fixed previously and some other tiles were now loose, and the grout disintegrated again. Mr. Lambert again made promises to return and address the issue, but as of this writing has not done so. We have been overly patient with Mr. Lambert and given him more than enough opportunities and fix his work, but he has demonstrated that he is not a man of his word and will not take accountability for his workmanship.
