      JD Solar came out and replaced a defective microinverter. They charged me for the labor to repair even though microinverter was under warranty ( I felt enphase the microinverter manufacturer should have paid for their labor). Five days after installation 16 of my 24 panels stopped producing and I have called and emailed over 10 times since May 2023 when this happened. The owner Damon did reach out and say he would get someone out to look at it and not charge since he admitted the tech must have down something to trigger outage. Also said he wouldn’t charge which was nice to hear. Ten phone-text messages later and almost 2 mos I have still not heard back.

      Please note the following, as per our attached signed contract.

      We have every right to charge for labor.  It is industry standard to provide a 1 year labor warranty on our work.  We provided a 10 year warranty.  .The 10 year warranty has expired.

      Permission to operate system is attached:  from Eversource/CLP the system was turned on 4/4/2013.

      The part that failed on the solar was a enphase micro inverter.  The part was under 25 year manufacturer warranty.  If this failed in year 2 we can charge for labor to replace it, as it is not a bad installation, it was replacing a warranty part which  does not get covered under warranty anyways.  If he wants the manufacturer ******* to pay the invoice:  he can fight w them to pay him/us invoice of $220.  This 5/52023 invoice for  $220 is also attached.

      ***** ****** also has multiple emails.  He did not respond to emails I sent to email on the contract to schedule service.  We can not work on someone's home without their approval of course!

      ***** email from contract, email he gave to BBB and email he just sent me with Icloud is the only the latest one works.  

      Please also note ***** replaced the monitoring system without our direction which i maybe what caused the issue he had as well.  

      We sent a technician there yesterday to double check and trouble shoot the system.  He did not respond when he was there.  The system is working at 100%.   Maybe it re-connected to his monitoring, maybe he hired someone else to solve the problem.  Attached is also a screen shot showing the system is at 100%.

       

      Either way this is a frivolous complaint and has no merit.  We take our complaints and compliments very seriously and strongly encourage the review of this to be deleted on base of the facts.
