I had a house fire, I hired Brian B***** to repair/ rebuild house. We returned back to house 11/24/2021, we have had leaks near chimney in living room and now have black mold growing on sheetrock in garage, the other side of chimney. I called Brian the past 4 weeks he promised he would take care of. the roofer came when we were not home took pictures said all is fine. We still have black mold, I have made 2 appointments with Brian to look at moldy sheetrock, 1st was saturday in January, no show. I spoke again last week, he was to come yesterday 2/8 4p, no show, now he will not return my calls or messages. This is uncalled for, there is an issue. He needs to come and fix this job.

I was notified on 12/23/23 via email that there was a leak in the chimney. I sent an employee to the property on January 7th to check the roof and chimney flashing. The roof and chimney flashing are as installed and no damage to either was noted. Pictures of the area were taken and forwarded to the homeowner via text. The reason for the water was the homeowners do not have chimney caps installed on the top to stop rain or other objects from ente****. The rain which caused the water infiltration was the heaviest rain that the area has seen in years and without the caps water entered through the open flue. We did miss the Saturday meeting, but I sent the employee out on Thursday February 16th and when he arrived, he rang the **** doorbell in which he spoke to the homeowners via the device, and they advised that they were not home, and it needed to be rescheduled. I will have a project manager reach out to the homeowners and schedule another time for inspection. I do also want to point out the fact that as ***** stated they moved back home on 11/24/21 and the warranty period is expired (11/24/22). Even though the warranty time has passed we stand by our work and will see that this gets resolved.

The complaint is still unresolved, I waited over a week for this company to call and schedule a visit like they replied to you they would and still no call.  My original call to them was Dec 26 and I received only promises they would come and fix any issues but the do not show up, then show the day after appt knowing I will not be home. They then reply to you they will call and come, still nothing.  This is not resolved and I want the negative complaint status on file. I have attached pictures of black mold growing in sheetrock, this is not a chimney cap issue it is a leak.  They are neglectful,  unresponsive to the faulty roofing job they did. This clearly was leaking before their  1 year deadline and they know it.

The pictures do not show any signs of a faulty roof job as the areas appear dry and it has rained. I will have the project manger call on Wednesday March 15th and have someone out by Friday March 17th to look at the garage sheetrock. We have already looked at the roof and the roof was installed properly and all inspections were completed by the building department and a final inspection was performed prior to the homeowners moving in.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  the company did come out to inspect mold damage and it was worse once the manager Brian took down some sheetrock. The sheetrock was soacked and crumbling, he visually confirmed there is a good amount of water leaking not just in one area but around entire chimney and it is not due to any missing chimney cap.  He promised to come back but now we are in limbo waiting for them to fix the leak damage. So this isn't resolved yet, there are no other options to wait before this is closed again.

    Sincerely,
