I had a very bad experience with Community Funeral Chapel. They completely disregarded everything regarding the handling of my mother's services. I requested that no information regarding her services be given to anyone, and it was given anyway which resulted in unwanted guests at my mom's funeral, I was highly upset with and under stress, I had to lock the doors, my mom's make up was heavy and disgusting when I asked for light makeup. I made a specific request about her pictures, sent in a separate email and they literally chose a different, unfavorable picture that I did not request for everyone to see. I have emails and proof. They also brought my mom out with a blue plastic bag that was visible and noticeable under her and we had to fix it which was traumatizing. But that's not it! I purchased a urn for apx $240 or so and paid for them to place her ashes in the urn and they FAILED to do so. We literally got my mom's remains in a plastic bag and had to return to have them place my mom's ashes in the urn which was traumatizing to me. I feel as though this was done deliberately and that perhaps Brenda knows someone in the family and was perhaps even paid to completely destroy my mother's services. I have no proof but would like her investigated and I am considering a lawsuit against the chapel. It took me a while because the anger and rage I have felt had to be subsided and I have been mourning. I do not want anyone else to have this experience and I do feel what transpired was unethical and I do not appreciate the fact that she never reached out to me and I had to email her a complaint. She didn not honor our wishes for the services I can only say that the cards I ordered were okay and acceptable.

    Good evening,

We have tried speaking to Ms. *********. She sent us a series of emails which will be attached in this document calling her family "a bunch of demons." and even stating she almost went to her car to get weapons. Our firm did not give any service information to anyone regarding her mother and nothing was posted on our website as well. We made Ms. ********* aware of this. We provided all the services the contract stated.

In regards to the claim where Ms. ********* states that we let uninvited people in is baseless. Firstly, we do not know her family. Therefore, we are unable to determine who she want's to allow in and who will not be allowed in the funeral home. Since the services were private, during private services it is our practice to keep doors closed and a funeral attendant will open the door when someone rings the doorbell. We do not know how the unwanted guests look like, so it is impossible for us to know who is who.

I appreciate your attention to this matter.

    Cordially,

    Administration at Community Funeral Chapels.
