    On 5/18/23 I gave a check for $405 for 3 facials to Mary B*** d/b/a ******. She offered this prepayment plan. However, she failed to honor/show up for the appointments because they weren’t on her books. I always booked directly with her - not on her booking site. Once she failed to show up saying she didn’t have me booked because she confused me with another ***** but she evidently cancelled me instead. Another time she was there but didn’t have me booked again & she couldn’t take me. Both were rescheduled and $270 used from my prepayment. The final time 11/9/23 I received a confirmation from her booking site, yet she didn’t have me booked and couldn’t take me. She had it on her calendar as 2am! I said “this is the last time I’m doing this”. Her response was “let’s call it a day. I’ll just give you a refund”. As I was leaving she gave me a cleanser and said “don’t give me a bad review”. She later said it was worth $54 but online it’s $38. In no way did I consider that a refund. She did not ask if I would accept it as a refund, and if it was intended as a refund it should have been worth $135 not $38. Now I said I would do the facial. She says she’s booked but “you are welcome to go online & double check”. I did and she had February 21 open for 2-3. She says it’s only ½ hour and her “booking system has to be monitored by me to make sure the times are right”. I did NOT ask for the refund or the cleanser - it was all her volunteering these offers. If she had a no-refund policy it was not disclosed when I gave her the check. As the sole owner, she has the ability to make and change policy. If she had a no refund policy, why did she offer one? None of the missed appointments were my fault - she didn’t show up! She screwed up at least 3 times and I’m paying for it, which I consider theft. I have been put off with excuses for months. To be fair, I want her to be accountable for her actions and words and return the balance of $135 which she offered to me.

    I have received the complaint invoice from a client named ***** *****.
    I have been in business for 8 years here in ** and this client has been extremely difficult to work with from the start. I have always met her demands.


    She has purchased packages before & all the facial were honored with no issues. 
    Her last package she was given 2 facials & the last facial there was scheduling challenges. Unfortunately, sometimes this happens and it’s human error. I felt badly and offered to reschedule & I gave her a product that we sell for 54$ as a partial settlement for that mistake & told her we would reschedule & I assured her it would be done with no mistake. I told her I don’t give refunds for packages or gift certificates. This is Cleary stated when she purchased her last package. 
    I always go over and above to please my clients with extra time and extra massage with the facials. I will mention she had never tipped .
    She continued to text me , multiple times and it was in form of harassment.
    I will be more than happy at this point to settle this up & send her 81$ . As she excepted my 54$ product . I would ask, if possible to have for 30 business days to send her a check as I’m a sole proprietorship.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. However, I have NOT "been extremely difficult to work with from the start". "I have always met her demands." I was not difficult nor did I make any demands. As far as tipping, no one I know tips the owner of a business since they establish their own prices and do not have to give a percentage to anyone because they are not working for anyone else. I have been in my own business myself and I charged what I charged - enough to make what I needed - no tip expected. Plus, the value of the item she offered me is online for $38. I have had enough of her excuses and want to move on.

    Hello,

     

    I have been out of the country since February 27th and just returned and I have not received a check from Alchemy Spa. The latest message code is expired. The last message I received is that Mary B*** will send me $81 and asked for one month. It has been 3 months. Kindly advise. Thank you.
