I had an evaluation with Dr. Mawson on July 12th of 2023 for my chronic back spasms, knots, trigger points, scoliosis, and limited mobility with the intention of receiving consistent and effective chiropractic care. Dr. Mawson spent 50-minutes providing extensive and generalized psycho-education about spine health and the impact that it has on nerves during the first appointment ($200) and then conducted a 5 to 7-minute evaluation of this writer's "spine," without ever providing an explanation of this writer's actual and unique back issues. At the following three appointments on, 07/13/23, 07/17/23, and 07/18/23, Dr. Mawson continued to provide more extensive "sales-talk" / psycho-education, spending only nearly 5-7 minutes of "chiropractic care" at each visit and still charging for a full chiropractic session of $50 per appointment. This writer invited a witness to observe the provider, who also agreed that Dr. Mawson was utilizing appointments in a medically unnecessary fashion by making extensive efforts to recruit the witness during this writer's appointment. Dr. Mawson also uncomfortably requested payment before, during, and after providing alleged services and followed this writer all the way to the payment pin-pad at the front desk, then hovered over this writer (uncomfortably) to ensure received payment. During this time, this writer and her witness observed a non-personnel working as a standstill at the reception desk, not knowing how to check-in, out, or bill patients, and allegedly substituting for her lack of staff, though seemed under the influence and was sent home after this writer's appointment, which was Dr. Mawson's last appointment of the day. Furthermore, this writer requested records which Dr. Mawson denies exists, stating that she had not seen this writer "enough times for a treatment plan/diagnosis or even having progress notes of her work with this writer." This writer received no relief and didn't even experience a full 15-minute session.
