In April of 2022, I went to the office for a consultation. I was told that my treatment plan would cost $640 because I have good dental insurance. After the first visit I went back two more times for treatments, paid the $640 in cash on the second visit (three visits total). On the last visit I was told I was all set because Paulo worked out the insurance. Only to be put into collections months later for the amount of $1,400+.I looked back at my insurance claims and the treatment was denied for the amount of $1,330. But yet I am paying $2,000+ after what they put me in collections for plus the $640 I paid in cash on my second visit. The office is now closed, since I have been put in collections. I feel like my hands are tied and I am paying off the collections amount because it is impacting my credit. The collections company is *****, who basically told me I need proof of my $640 cash payment which I cannot obtain because the office is closed but it does show on the form they sent me that I did pay that balance. Nonetheless, they overcharged for what my insurance did not approve. Told me the incorrect amount prior to submitting the codes to insurance. Now I am paying more than the insurance denied.
