I was given the name of this company as a ***** certified vacuum cleaner servicer. I called ***** because my 2 month old vacuum stopped working. They told me it was under warranty and the repair would be 100% covered. I called Stitch in Time and they told me to bring in my vacuum and they would give me a quote before they do any work. They said parts are covered but not labor. I live close to the store and I needed the vacuum repaired ASAP so I took it in. Paul, the owner, said since I bought it at ****** he would have to charge for labor but that if I had bought from him he wouldn't charge me anything. Against my better judgment, I left it there to see what the quote would be. In the meantime I called ***** back and asked if they cover all expenses including labor and they said they do and that if the establishment wouldn't pay for labor to take it somewhere else. A week and three days went by and I hadn't heard from Stitch in Time. I called on the morning of the 10nth day. At 2:30pm he texted and said, "it's $84." In the meantime I had found another certified dealer who would do the work for no charge with a one day turnaround because it was under warranty. I told Paul not to fix it and that I would just come pick it up. I sent my bf to pick it up and when he got there, the owner said he fixed it. My bf didn't realize it should have been repaired free of charge so he paid for it and also paid for a box of vacuum cleaner bags. When he brought the vacuum cleaner home I saw that Paul had replaced the plug with a white leviton plug. What? First of all, I told him not to repair it, second, he didn't use ***** parts. Also the box of vacuum cleaner bags didn't have the filters in it. When I took the vacuum and bags back to the store and asked for the original plug and my money back, Paul got extremely angry and screamed at me to stand by the door. He refused to refund my money and screamed insults at me. I thought he was going to assault me. SCARY
