took my truck in for banging noise in rear end. was told it needed bearing , then told also needed ring and pinion. 2 weeks later he gives me back my truck with an old rusted leaking rear end from a junk yard. he charged 2127.00 for for a Re manufactured rear end and put a damaged rear end in thats leaking . Also i had a posi traction unit he did not install a posi traction unit and it causes the truck to fish tail very easily going around a turn if you give it any gas. he has mad it dangerous to drive the way it is. I want him to pay for the repair to be done at another shop and the right ( posi traction unit ) to be installed in my truck. He has made my truck unusable the way it is.

My name is Richard B****. I run and own Danbury Precision
Transmission (“DPT”). I am in receipt of the correspondences dated 11/07/24 and
12/18/24. I apologize for my late response, but I had to make sure that I had
all that I needed to validate my point of view and the chain of events with as
much facts as possible. When I enter into a contract (oral or written) with a potential
client, as most others, we have a specific performance. The outcome may not be
as kind or desired by consumers, just as doctors cannot guarantee results after
performing procedures. Likewise, in the auto repair field outcomes are not guaranteed.
In October 23 of 2024, I had run a card swipe in the amount of $2,133.38. On
November 7 said charge was returned or rather ‘chargedback’ to the Issuer **
****** ***** ****. I’ve included with this letter the proof I have from
merchant services, where I ordered the part(s), and my invoice. To date, since
the chargeback, I have not received nor have any funds been returned to me for
my labor and the product(s) used for the repair.
I would greatly appreciate if you had someone on this team
of review with automotive experience. I ordered REMANUFACTURED parts for the
REAR DIFFERENTIAL. I returned all other parts that did not show any damage nor
did it look to impose any danger to the vehicle. My task was to replace the REAR
DIFFERENTIAL, and that’s what I did. It was not agreed to for a new
differential as the cost was a lot higher, and *** ****** agreed to the
remanufactured which produced and installed. Surface rust, per the customer’s
details in the complaint, is not hazardous in any way. Again, these are remanufactured
parts (you can basically say refurbished). With all due respect, I delivered.
Now, had he come back and calmly discussed the issues we could have worked
something out. But the agreement was performed. Also, *** ****** provided
pictures of items that are not part of the REAR DIFFERENTIAL of which he is
complaining about. That said, again, it would be great if you the BBB would
have someone with automotive experience review the pictures as well. I am in
talks with a local attorney as well seeking a legal claim of the damages I have
incurred, also the slander and libel from the consumer, and the payment which
was returned to the client (if you pay attention, legally, my performance is
not merit for a “refund” if the specific performance was completed.). Please
reopen this case, see the truth for what it is and have *** ****** pay for the
work that was completed or I will have to pursue legal action on his breach.

    Thank you,

    Richard B****, DPT
