Absolutely horrible!!! Remodel of kitchen was supposed to be 8 weeks and took 5 months and still not finished due to their mistakes. Either they cut something they shouldnt have, ordered wrong parts, drilled unnecessary holes. They cut brand new crown molding and then tried to piece it together, installed shed windows instead of kitchen window, drilled holes in new cabinets, damaged new cabinets and wanted to use wood filler, cut opening for fridge too small, left screws and nails in yard/ driveway, did not prep walls before painting and did not lay down tarp on new counters when painting. She did rectify a couple of these issues but not all. She seems to always have an excuse and wont deal with customer directly, has her minions do it for her. What she calls nitpicking I call professionalism. Her resolutions were patch jobs instead of doing it correctly the 1st time. Would do work 1 week and then spend the next week TRYING to repair it. Would not hire or recommend her, friendly in the beginning, get those checks coming in then refuse to meet with clients over issues they have. Then they up and quit rather than remove the issues. If you cant stand the complaints and issues caused by your workers you shouldn't run a business. VERY SHODDY WORK AND IF I COULD GIVE 0 stars I would have. Also numerous lawsuits against her company , ***** *** ** **** ******* ** ***** * *****

Absolute disaster.Terrible communication from start to finish. No initial walkaround to establish expectations. No final check out before leaving the job site.Contractor canceled the majority of the work due to lack of 'acceptable' supplies, without my knowledge or consent. The contract should not have been proposed if work could not be completed as promised, with the materials the contractor recommended.Major work was left unfinished (installation of smart thermostat) but still charged for the work on the final bill.Repairs promised as not-noticeable upon completion look absolutely terrible (see photos). My son and I had to help install/mount my 77" TV because only one contractor showed up for the entire $2500 job over the course of four days. This project seemed to be a complete afterthought for Girls 'N Tools.Would not recommend (even for small jobs/maintenance) under any circumstances, whatsoever.

Mr. ******* apologize for the delay in our response, as our office was closed for two weeks over the holidays. We did respond to you during that period, but it became increasingly clear that you were not interested in finding a solution.First, we kindly request that you remove the inaccuracies from your MANY online reviews. False statements can have a significant impact on our business, and we will hold you accountable for any slander that negatively affects our reputation.Regarding your concerns:1. Insulation: We did NOT remove any insulation. We have photos from our meeting and the day we left, which clearly show your cats clawing off the insulation. While we initially suggested building a wall to prevent this, you preferred a lower-cost solution. We attempted to use solid FRP panels to cover the insulation, but they did not bend as we envisioned, so we were unable to find a solution to your unique problem.2. TV Wall-Mounted Brackets: You declined to have the additional TV wall-mounted brackets installed, so we installed just the one.3. Thermostat Installation: Despite requests, the thermostat was not provided on the days we worked. We offered to return to install it, but instead, we provided you with an additional credit after your behavior toward us escalated.4. Paint Spots on Bedspread: The paint spots on the bedspread were due to your son letting the cats into the room after we finished painting. Notice how beautifully light and fluffy the marks are. The paint we use is washable, and we can provide paint remover to you if needed.5. Wood Rot: We never claimed that a wood splice would not be noticeable after being repaired. Obviously, if you cut out a section of wood, it will look like a section was replaced, but thank you for providing another point for our job riders going forward. You were home while we were doing this, and we showed it to you when we were done. Complaining about it after the fact is dishonest.6. Patches and Touch-Ups. You were home part of the time we were doing these, and we showed them to you. Again, complaining about this after the fact is dishonest.7. Hardwood flooring: You provided the materials for the hardwood floor patch. You were specifically told wood that was kept in the basement for years verses those installed would not be the same color as wood ages. You were there when this work was completed, and approved it. Again, complaining about this after the fact is very dishonest.8.Itemized Bill: You requested an itemized bill, which we do provide for an additional fee as per our contract. Your refusal to pay the billed amount and then requesting a full refund means you are not entitled to an itemized bill, regardless of how many reviews you post or emails you ******* recap, you have received $1,779 in credits and paid only $1,000 for the following services rendered:- Flooring: Cutting out damaged hardwood flooring and splicing in a new floorboard, removing loose boards and reinstalling them, and adding a threshold.- Door Jamb: Repairing the exterior door frame jamb, cutting out the rotted section of jamb, applying wood hardener, splicing in new PVC, caulking, and shimming and stabilizing the threshold.- Exterior Painting: Scraping and painting the exterior door jamb and frame of the patio door.- Interior Painting: Fixing nail pops and broken seams throughout the house (our contract was only for a few, but we fixed them allevery single one you and your son pointed out).- Interior Patching: Patching holes in doors and repairing a clawed door frame.- TV Bracket: Hanging a TV wall mount bracket.- TV: Assisting with mounting the TV (done as a courtesy).Had you paid the balance for the completed work and simply asked, we would have returned to install the thermostat, spot wash the sheet, applied another layer of filler over the exterior patch, and addressed anything else you noticed. Given your dissatisfaction, we instead deducted $380 from your final adjusted bill as a holiday and a final parting gesture. But that wasnt good enough for you.Instead your continued intent to harm our business is evident. The fact that you have updated us with the exact number of people that have seen your reviews (last email from you stated 39) shows this is being done with malicious intent to hurt and extort us, all so you can enjoy the work we completed and you approved - for free. We will not reward this type of behavior. We wish you all the best in life and hope you achieve what you deserve.Sincerely,******* ******* CEO / Owner GNT Remodeling

Jessica measured this job herself, two times, and assured me that the new garage door would fit and the existing walk-in door would remain in place. The walk-in door did not fit. The garage door has no outside handle and no inside handle because they would interfere with the door opening. The motor for electronically opening the door did not fit. I was ASSURED by Jessica, more than once, that a “side motor” would be installed. Her workmen repeated this statement to me. One of the workmen even assured me that would happen because he realized that I am an older woman and opening that door would be a bit of a struggle for me without the automatic opener. I was told that someone would call about the side motor. That did not happen. I emailed Girls ‘n’ Tools about this matter and received a return email that they would contact the garage door company. A man from the garage door company came to look at the job and said it was not possible to install a side motor for this project. The email the garage door company received to look at this job was made to look like it had come from me personally, not from Girls ‘n’ Tools. This was deceptive. I asked the man to call Jessica. Jessica told him that she never told me there could be a side motor. That is an outright lie.

Hi *******, We believe that there is some confusion. The contract you signed clearly states reframe and reuse basement door and relocate to opening on left. We attempted to reuse your existing door to save on cost. The existing door, once removed, was in too bad of shape to reuse. Therefore, we ended up purchasing the new door and installing it in the new location. When Jess came to measure the door, she had told you that she would be able to fit a garage door in there, but was not sure if there was enough space for a garage door opener. After the garage door was installed in the low-head height existing basement, we were not able to get a regular top-mount garage door installed. We were aware of side mount motors, but we did not personally install them, so we referred you to ******** ***** which also determined that there was not enough space to do a side mount opener. Our company placed a call to Overhead Doors on your behalf, to explain the situation and have them come out to look and give you a second opinion. Once they got there, they determined that there was not enough space to install a side mount motor without losing the door. We never emailed the company, so were not sure what deceptive email you are referring to. Because we were not able to install the opener, you received a credit of $400 on your final bill.We are sorry to hear about your disappointment. There is nothing we can do about existing low head height basements. We have made every attempt to help you get what you wanted. We are happy to come and place a handle/pull string on your garage door.Have a nice day.

Very poorly done work. Two sliders and two windows installed so badly that the work needed to be completely redone. Current contractors discovered that this contractor REMOVED a load bearing header in addition to cutting back carpet and tile to accommodate the incorrect install. The work did not pass inspection and given the opportunity to correct, a poor attempt was made and the work still did not pass inspection. Do not hire this contractor unless you want to redo work. Contact local building inspector offices and they will be able to confirm.

This team does an amazing job. They were great to work with on numerous projects around our house; painting, flooring and some bathroom work. They were efficient, completed the job well within the estimated time frame, and were competitively priced. Also, the name *********************************************** LOL. We will definitely use them again.

Listen to the bad reviews. The work looks great but she pockets the money for permits she didn't pull, gets caught by the town doing it (more than once) has now ghosted with the entire second floor gutted. Electrical done by a not licensed electrician, no inspections done that were supposed to be (and were paid for). States hours of work in contract but 1 worker (not more) show up sometime 830/9a and gone by 3/4p and leaves many many times during that time. Says and quotes for something then when she gets caught without permits suddenly says they don't do that. Lies about everything, blames employees for things and makes up stories as excuses. Has been taken to court before.

As the client noted, the work that was performed looks great. This is a repeat client who we have done other jobs for in the past. This review has been posted while there is great work for which the client owes a progress payment of $15,000 and has not paid. I need to address false and defamatory statements and claims the client is stating. 1) Work hours on the contract are the hours we work. Not the start and stop times on your job. Those hours we spend prepping, shopping, running errands and picking up supplies for your job as well as being on site to work. 2) Not sure what you mean by Ghosted with entire second floor gutted? We were told to stop work until permits were put through and we have. As soon as they go through we will be back to continue this job. Why would I have just pulled the permits to then ghost the job?? That makes no sense. 3) All my subcontractors are licensed and insured, and you can look up my Electrician's license with the state. His license number is **************. ** My office manager who handled the permitting process with the towns as well as other business functions was let go due to not following the policies and procedures. I apologized that the permit for your job was missed as noted when the building official showed up on the jobsite. He temporarily put the job on hold and within the half hour of being notified, permits were applied for, the town cashed the permit check two days later. Once this is rectified and we have permission to restart, the job will continued. So, stating that I was doing something shady and I got caught is defamatory. I dont pocket permit money. The balance of this contract is over 30k pocketing $500 in permit money to potentially lose 30k is absurd. 5) Serious mold was found after certain walls/ceilings were opened and it was brought to your attention and would need to be addressed with the proper licensed agencies which deal with mold remediation. The contract with ********************** *** ********************** does not include mold remediation and I stated that we are not licensed to do that. That has nothing to do with Permits. This was never part of the signed quote. Again, your statements to the contrary are completely untrue as proof of signed contract. 6) Lastly, your statement that "I" or my business has been taken to court is false and completely untrue. A simple search in the ** Court Records shows that I have taken clients and tenants to court for nonpayment. No one has ever taken me to court. This defamatory review needs to be taken down now.
