I'm sending a complaint in hopes that myself and the Hairy Barker Inn can come to a resolution and have my concerns addressed. As I stated in both (2) emails that I sent to the Hairy Barker inn I will reiterate it again.
Both my dogs had grooming appointments on June 22, 2022. Both of my pets were dropped off by me at their facility around 9:30 am and picked up by myself around 2:00 pm the same day. Both my babies were themselves dropped off but when I picked them off one of my babies weren't themselves. She was extremely quiet like she was possibly sedated and very sleepy. and blinking her eyes a lot like the sun was bothering her. Keep in mind she wasn't lethargic when she went into their grooming facility. My husband and I watched her for a couple days but no change still after 1 week later. i then contacted her vet to determine what we can do because something happened during her grooming appointment that I wasn't made aware of. possibly they were under the impression I wouldn't notice or it would go away. I then contacted the Hairy Barker Spa and asked several questions in regards to her visit. The receptionist declined it all and passed the phone call to the groomer that groomed my 1 year old puppy *******. My husband and I continued to watch her until 1 week later *******s vision was gone and her eyes were completely white. After an emergency visit to the hospital my puppy suffered from a fever, eye laceration to one of her eyes & an infection in the other. We were devastated because we know that are puppy was fine and the hairy barker inn the person that groomed and or washed her cut her eye and didn't tell me along with whatever shampoo etc they used got into her eyes. She is a shitzu puppy which we know those dogs gets very hairy around the entire body and eyes. Still to this day ******* is suffering vision wise ad will have long term health eye issues because of this. I sent emails and calls and no response what so ever from the hairy barker spa
