    On the evening of January 25th I used the car wash at Chuckys Mobile Gas Station. After I paid for the wash via debit card I rolled up the windows and put the car is neutral. The tracks did not pull in my car in right away, but did engage at some point bringing me slightly forward. The next thing I remember the car wash entrance door closed on top of my car hood creating damage. I reported it to the gas station attendant, and he gave me the owners number, ****** ***** gave me this guy ****** number, and after briefly speaking I met him in Moosup the next morning. **** stated that I could buff it out myself and he would report it to the insurance, but they likely wouldnt pay. He refused to give me the insurance company name, and remarked that I had broken the car wash and that is why it hit my car.

    On 1/25/2024 I was contacted by ************************* regarding damage that had occurred on her vehicle while using the Car Wash at Dayville Chuckys.  She stated that the door had closed on her vehicle after she had paid and wash started.
    I reviewed the video of the incident and found that as soon as ************** paid for the wash she drove forward and crossed the entrance of the wash signaling the wash that a vehicle was ready to be washed.  She should have waited for rollers on the conveyor to push her into the wash.

    When she realized her mistake,she then backed her vehicle over the rollers on the conveyor that were intended to push.  The rollers began to push her forward into the wash again.  At this point the wash had already been activated and therefore the door began to close on the hood of her vehicle.

    When ************** paid for the wash and selected the start button the car wash teller announced specific instructions to put her car in neutral, take your foot off the brake, leave your hands off the steering wheel and turn off your radio.  If ************** would have followed these instructions,the conveyor would have pushed her vehicle through the wash just as it had for the other 795 cars that were washed at that location in the month of January.
    On 1/26/24 I meet with ************* at Moosup Mobil and asked her to describe the incident.  Her account of the incident and what was recorded on the stores security system did not match.  I informed ************** that since it was not a mechanical issue but rather an operator error that **************** would not be paying for repairs.
