This transaction was 11/8/23 and this person charged me $522.64. He never responded to any of my messages regarding, when I call shop I get some woman - that has no skills she says its my fault is nasty. I spoke to this owner by email several times and he promised to give me a quote first before doing work and never did that just did work with out my permission, as machine is old and based on quote - I may not have wanted to do repairs. He said he would charge a fee to pickup and deliver tractor and estimate fee of like $101. But instead he did work with out my permission. See email below from owner William Z*****. A very rough estimate would include - P/D $60.00 Blades $33.90 (2@$16.95) Plug $ 6.95 Oil $7.95 Filter $25.00 Labor $205.00 $338.80 This is not a real estimate but a guess! If you have us bring in your machine we can go over it and create a real estimate after examining the unit. If you go ahead with the work the estimate is incorporated into the repair. If you decide not to go forward, there will be an estimate charge of $41.00 plus the pick up and delivery $60.00 for a total of $101.00 plus tax. Business Response

    Date: 12/19/2023

Mr. Henderson; Thank you for taking the time to speak with me this past week. I will do my best to explain this situation. It all began with me responding to a customer on line inquiry. I responded in a non specific way as I did not have all the information needed, in fact I did not even have the customers name. Another issue was when the customer called he did not request an estimate nor did we ask if he wanted an estimate. I am enclosing copies of Mr. ****** messages that started this, his invoice and our work order. In summary if we had not completed the repair as we did, the rider would not have been usable.

    Thank you for your time.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 12/19/2023

    Hello,

He is not telling the truth.

This guy does not return calls or emails to customers and just blows customers off. I tried for weeks and weeks to resolve this. He spoke to me by email and said roughly what estimate would be, but needed to see the unit to give a true estimate. I have email I sent to BBB where he said we will give estimate -then you can decide how you want to proceed.

He said if I donot do job there would be like a $110 charge for estimate and if I did do estimate charge would be put into charges. He would not charge if I did job.

I was not sure if I wanted to keep this old machine. HE PROMISED TO GIVE QUOTE FIRST AND DID NOT AND NEXT I WILL BE REPORTING HIM TO CONSUMERS AS HE DID WORK WITHOUT AUTHORIZARTION. YOU TRY TO REACH HIM AND THIS NASTY WITCH ANSWERS THE PHONE JUST SAYS OWE ITS YUR FAULT CUSTOMER. The work he did was poor anyway for $500 - I will be sure to spred the word everywhere about him and he rips people off
