    We brought our boat to Paradise Marine & Dock in Oct 2023 to be fixed. The engine would not run reliably. Paradise has fixed our boat in the past. Over the last 18 months that they have had the boat, they have not given us a status or any information about the problem or what they are doing about it. Numerous numerous calls to the shop resulted in not reaching anyone who could tell us what was going on. When we were able to leave a message, we did not receive any callbacks. Finally, this past Jan 2025, I walked into the shop in person and talked to Ed, who is the mechanic. He started to explain some things to me, and I asked him to relay that to my husband, and he said he would but he never did. I pointed out that the boat was sitting there in the open and wasn't shrink-wrapped (which we have them do every winter). He said it needed to dry out because it had just rained. I said it's been sitting like that open to the elements all winter already and it could have been shrinkwrapped earlier, as is custom. I left the boat shop. He never called my husband. I also tried calling another business owned by the same people and left a message for the owner, Tony F******* to call me back. He never did. Then they moved all the boats to a new location and didn't inform us. When I found out where they moved the boats to, we came with our truck and brought it home. Then upon inspection, we saw the boat engine was dismantled and sitting on the floor of the boat. The boat is very dirty, there are nuts and bolts everywhere, a clip is broken, and the brand new boat cover is now brittle and in bad shape from sitting out exposed to the elements all winter. I visited them again in person on March 10. I spoke to a person named Andy. I told him the entire story and told him we missed a boating season, costing us an unused dock slip, boat insurance we didn't need, and now we can't do anything with it because the engine is in pieces. He said Tony would give me a call. He hasn't.
