On May 5, 2024, ***** ******* Police Department called us to tow a 1999 ***** ***** , the vehicle was unregistered. The tow bill was $227.00  (which was ** State Rate) plus 6.35% ** sales tax.  ***** ******* called us on May 22, 2024 asking what would be the price with storage if he picked it up on May 24th (which we told him).  He contacted us again on May 29th, asking what would be the total if he picked it up on June 7th and also wanted a price if we towed it to ******** ** what would it be, we told him the current price of the original tow with storage and tax now comes to $1,115.67. and quoted a tow out to ******** $150 plus tax.  Did not hear from him until June 25th, he said he gets paid every 2 weeks and won't have enough to pay in full, so we cut him a deal if he paid by July 5th of $800 which the actual total on June 25th was $1,594.25. and if he picked up on July 5th it should have been $1,860.12.  So not understanding why he is saying it is not an efficient price and we weren't working with him.  On July 22nd, he called again, said he now wants to get vehicle on July 25th and what would the price be, told him the price that we would accept now would be $875 to be picked up by July 25th.  Still did not show up.  He then called on July 25th and wanted us to extend until August 1st, we agreed to $875 plus tax for August 1st but informed him we would not be doing anymore extensions.  As August 1st would mean we would have been trying to work with this person for 88 days and the actual total should have been $2,577.99.  Again, we have been more then fair, we were trying to work with this person.  On July 31st ***** had an Attorney ***** ********* call us on his behalf asking if we could help him out one more time and extend the price of $875 plus tax until August 8th.  We told the Attorney that we would again extend until August 8th but we can no longer hold onto this vehicle after that date.  At which point the actual bill for August 8th should have been $2,764.10.  We had discounted his bill trying to help by $1,833.53.  We didn't hear back from ***** until August 13th where he still hadn't provided proof that he owned the vehicle and still hadn't made an attempt to pay for the vehicle.

I called Tolland Automotive Enterprises today on August 13th to make a deal stating that they keep my car and I end up taking the rest of the things out my car. The lady Stacy that works there gonna tell Mr that there's nothing in the car to get, and I was planning on looking for myself. She told me to send a pic of the updated bill of sale and my license, and I did. I told I need different varieties out of car. Instead of letting me come by and let me check it for myself, she's trying to avoid me going to my car because I feel like the company is at fault about something. I even asked Stacy if she can check my trunk because I have my daughters shoes and mechanic tools back there, Stacy told me she will call me back to see if there's stuff back there but she never called me back. I know what was in my car. I know nothing shouldn't be missing from the front of the car to the trunk. Unless there is thief going on.

I have made multiple calls to this business within the time of my car being towed last Thursday. (2/1/24)

Since then, I haven’t been able to get my car because of not having a title, I notify them that I’m getting a replacement title and they said I still can’t take the car out without said title, I asked if the previous owner of the car can remove it since their name is on the title. They said she needs proof that she owns said car regardless if her name is on the title.

I was told different information by multiple people. The website says the place closes at 5pm Monday through Friday. On the phone I was told they close at 4:30pm, and by a driver I was told they close at 4pm. Their driver also attempted to charge me a $50 fee that I wasn’t made aware of just to remove some belongings from my car that I needed for work. I still have yet to retrieve anything from my car.

The office (main number) of the establishment told me that they knew about an after hours fee but did not know the price of said fee. Nor did they notify me of any fee that was to be collected.

So far the office has been giving me a hard time and has been giving me different information than listed on their site and/or by employees working there.
