Connecticut Natural company is just a scam, they attacked my bank account and Stole $579.14, when i call Francesco answer the phone with a nasty attitude like i am on his door step asking for help. refused to refund the money and ask for a bank statement.
You stole my money and you asking for more documents, this is unheard off.
increase to gas price, charge all kind of illegal charges on the bills on top of that stealing.

I believe one of their worker place the wrong address on service. After 4 years an agent contact me regarding an account open in a different address under my name. Something I didn't do, was told until then or gave permission to do so. This is why I believe it was one of the agent. Now they are trying to charge me the amount of $703. From the person who didn't called it in and also use the service for 4 years. we gave two people here to blame. Now I'm in the process of disputing it with an affidavit and they send me a shut off notice. I have a minor at home as well. I told them I need one more week to send this documents. As, I have to prove where I was living these 4 years. The agent on the phone was more interested on a payment plan than actually helping me. This is is kind of ridiculous as I want the on who consume this bill. I been a customer who pay on time and more than normal.

CNG shut off my gas in the middle of the winter and refused to put it back on so PURA had to get involved. CNG forced me to put a gas bill that was not associated with my residence in order to turn on my heat. I requested for the company to ensure the gas lines were properly associated with each floor. I shut off the gas and I was still charged months after the shut off. I requested an itemized bill for each month to which they refused. They sent the invoice to collections even though I have court documents stating the other tenant had the same issue as well as my lease that clearly states said bill was not associated with my unit. CT utilities is a monopoly and will stop at nothing to steal money from customers!

I just moved to Connecticut this June and have some difficulty gaining access to gas.
I opened an account with the Connecticut Natural Gas Company but I don't have gas to the house, so I called CNG again to see what was going on, they said they needed to send someone out to turn the gas on.
06/28/2023 around 10:30am, a technician came and said he cannot turn it on, his boss is on the way.
20 minutes later, Chris ******, a manager of CNG came and talked to me about my gas accessing issue.
He said he will not turn it on because our HOA management has not taken actions since the year 2019.
I asked Chris ******, since the year 2019 to today, every family in this HOA is still using gas, a lot of my neighbors are new like me, just moved in, and have gas but me?
He could not explain but said, he told the town Fire Marshal about it.
If Connecticut Natural Gas Company has decided not to serve my community, why is this company still opening new user accounts? Also, why send a technician to turn the gas on on 06/28/2023? And, why Chris ****** came to the location to met me and tell me that I am the only one cannot gain access to gas in this community? He yelled and left without giving me any explanations.
Because I am a old, Asian and woman, I am not welcome to this town?
I also contacted our HOA management company and the person in charge of our HOA told me , she said, she never heard any repair request or any complaints from CNG.
So the home I just purchased has no gas, there is no hot water I can use, I had to move to a hotel.
I called CNG and tried to talk with a manager but I was told the Chris ****** is the manager.

CNG is the most difficult, inefficient operation I have ever dealt with. I moved out of a rental in ********* in November. Both myself & my landlord notified CNG before & after the move via phone & their web site of the change and that he was to get the bills. As of April 1 this has still not been correctly done. In 4 years I paid my gas bills on time every month. and never not put my bills on "Automatic Payment." Yet some two months after I had moved, CNG put me on "Automatic Payment" without authorization & without those charges identifying who they were from. My bank was able to trace the charges to CNG and is working with me to reverse/cancel the unauthorized charges made after I moved. Unfortunately, I would suggest never to give CNG your credit card number but best to pay monthly by check & hard mail despite the inconvenience. As for CNG I can only say: "SHAME on the way you treat your customers."
