      I was referred by Petro to GHI for a “free” chimney inspection. $140 dollars later they told me I needed a $3k liner.
      They came and said they would not do the free inspection without first cleaning the chimney for a charge. That sounds like the inspection is $140. Bit bait ant switch.
      They say that the liner is lifetime but even the best liner lasts 15-20 years total before needing replacement. With oil burners it’s not going to last. Careful with that fine print on how to keep your “lifetime warranty” for that free replacement you will need in 20years.
      Issues with the assessment.
      1. Could not show pictures of cracks or holes. The premade video seemed to have my chimney pictures in it. Or at least the pictures the rep showed.
      2. They missed a major structural issue that the chimney has. Mainly it needs to be completely rebuilt from roof up as the deteriorating brick has become too bad to replace. I know because I already am getting quotes.
      3. None of the guys that came spoke English.

      Through our long-time oil company, my wife and I contacted Guaranteed Home Improvement for a free chimney inspection.
      Although there was an initial misunderstanding on my part, Guaranteed Home Improvement quickly responded to my concerns and resolved all issues promptly and professionally.
      Once my wife and I understood the nature of the chimney-related work that they proposed to do, we were glad that we could trust this company to do the necessary work without taking advantage of us. When they came to do the work at our house, they were very professional, clean, and quick. Before leaving our house, they made sure that our chimney/exhaust system was clean and functioning properly. They also sent to us a follow-up e-mail showing us the work they had done.
      Without hesitation, I strongly recommend Guaranteed Home Improvement for chimney related work because you can trust them to do the right thing.

      We recently had our chimney cleaned. The crew was very neat and professional. Looking at the before and after pictures it was clear they did an outstanding job. The price was very reasonable compared to the other quotes we received. All things considered we are very satisfied and look forward to using them again.

      Changing to propane from oil and needed to add a liner in my chimney. The chimney was from 1976 and had some issues. They installed a new stainless steel liner with a life time guarantee and a new cap. They did a great job and left everything nice and clean. Very happy.
