Purchased a used truck from Full Throttle. During test drive, I identified numerous items to be fixed. As part of the agreement, they agreed to fix all and stated all were fixed. The AC on the passenger side is not working and continues to not work despite them assuring me they fixed it. I reached out to Baker and received no response.

    Hi ********,

Thank you for reaching out and bringing this to our attention. I’m truly sorry to hear about the continued issues with the passenger-side AC and the lack of response you've experienced — that's not the level of service we aim to provide.
We appreciate you choosing Full Throttle and want to make this right. Based on your message, it’s clear there was a breakdown in communication and follow-through regarding the repairs that were agreed upon, especially concerning the AC. That’s not acceptable, and we take your concerns seriously.

As part of the agreement when you purchased the truck, we did complete the requested repairs, including addressing the AC concern, prior to your pickup as shown in the attached invoice. However, it’s clear that something may still not be functioning properly, and we take that seriously. I want to ensure this gets resolved promptly for you. Please let us know a convenient time for you to bring the truck in so we can reinspect and correct the issue. If needed, we can also look into alternative arrangements to make the process more convenient for you.

We appreciate your business and your patience, and we’re committed to making this right.

I’d like to personally ensure this gets addressed promptly. Please let us know a convenient time for you to bring the truck back in, or if you’d prefer, we can arrange a time for a technician to inspect it at your location, depending on availability. Either way, we’ll get to the bottom of the issue and make sure the necessary repair is completed—at no additional cost to you.
Again, I apologize for the frustration and inconvenience. We value your business and are committed to restoring your confidence in us.
Looking forward to your response so we can move quickly on a resolution.

    Best regards,

    FULL THROTTLE POWER SPORTS LLC

11 weeks ago, when we test drove the truck, there was a very noticeable ticking sound. We mentioned it to the car salesman and he said it would be fixed before picking it up as it is a "common *** issue." We picked up the vehicle four days later and two days after that the ticking started again. Upon calling them about the issue, they said we should just wait until our warranty kicks in and have the dealership do it as they would be better equipped. I agreed with that. We went to the dealership and was told how surprised they were that the vehicle even passed the emissions testing. The *** dealership also mentioned that the warranty covers everything but the exhaust issue, which they do not think it a coincidence as to why they pushed for us to wait for the dealership to do it, knowing they would be off the hook after the first 30 days under the Throttle's 30 day warranty. The extent of the damages Full Throttle's shop did to the vehicle to try to deem it as sellable by using the wrong parts and off brand parts did damage to the tune of $13,689.13. More than what the vehicle was purchased for and now worth. It is not safe to drive at this point as stated by the *** dealership. Called ******** and they refuse to do anything. We still owe $10,143.93. We do not feel that we should pay the remainder of the loan as the vehicle was deemed unsafe and not useable at this point.

Attached is most important and urgent repairs that need to be done. We just want a refund at this point to get a functioning vehicle.

Attached are in writing damages and issues with the vehicle. Sold with these issues. Attached is also the payment to have it diagnosed. I would like my money back for this as well. Total: $983.17.

    To whom may concern,

We apologize for any inconvenience you are experiencing with the vehicle you have purchased from us, however we feel that several of the issues you have stated must be further explained. The ticking noise you had stated in your complaint that you had supposedly told our salesman upon test driving and purchasing the vehicle was only first mentioned a week after purchasing and driving the vehicle. The only thing promised to you prior to you picking up the vehicle was that it would be safety inspected and would pass *********** Emissions, which we had honored and made sure the vehicle left our lot meeting all *********** motor vehicle safety guidelines and passed emissions testing. Upon contacting us for 2 concerns regarding the ticking noise and water leaking under the back seats we had scheduled your vehicle to be brought to our shop for service completely free of charge, where we had replaced any necessary parts to fix the leak and inspected the source of the ticking noise which we had determined not to be the exhaust manifold. Further diagnosis led us to believe that the noise was coming internally from the engine due to wear and tear of the internals from high mileage, which only since there was no apparent performance issues, check engine light, or any other pending codes deeming this vehicle unsafe or unreliable we had to told you to pick the vehicle up and to take advantage of the warranty you have purchased if you were to have any issues in the future. We think it is unfair to state that upon calling us all we had done was tell you wait until the warranty kicks, because you and I both know that this is not true!

Furthermore, we guarantee no wrong or off brand were installed by any Full Throttle Power Sports technician and with receipts to prove that. What you have fell victim to are the scare tactics and pressuring that new car dealerships use to make the customer feel pressured into purchasing unnecessary repairs for their vehicle. Nevertheless after first reading about your distress and unsatisfaction we immediately contacted to try and resolve the issue with you and had even scheduled your vehicle to be brought to our shop which you had not showed up to. We are here to rectify any shortcoming on our behalf and hope that we can come to a reasonable resolution keeping in account that you had purchased a $10,000 used Pick-up truck.

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response. We purchased the vehicle for 10.5k, not including the doc fees, taxes, and warranty that we were told we HAD to purchase in order to be accepted for the loan, told by Rodney. We were desperate for a vehicle as both salesman knew. Baker brought up the tick as we were about to test drive. It was very well known and aware of prior to even test driving. Baker pulled out the truck and said “Just so you guys know the ticking noise you might hear can be fixed for you if you guys decide to go with this vehicle.” We heard it as soon as he pulled it up for us to test drive. Stating it wasn’t brought up for a week after having it is completely false.

The dealership doesn’t even want to make money off of it so to say we were “victims” of the dealership is also not true. They don’t even want to touch it and told us to pursue this in court. I contacted another mechanic, ********* **** and they also do not want to touch it either. Saying it’s a lost cause, it needs a whole new engine and with blown gaskets, you never know how hot that engine got or what other issues lie within the engine. *** dealership and the auto repair shop both said it’s dangerous to work on, let alone drive. The entire engine is shot and this truck didn’t drive more than 2k since leaving the lot. After four trips back and forth to Full Throttle from **********, that’s already 220 miles alone.

This truck was sold with these issues, and smacking a warranty on it (which doesn’t even now cover anything due to the damage Full Throttle caused), doesn’t make it right. The *** dealership contacted ******** despite the aftermarket parts being used and ******** said they would send out an adjuster if needed, but with the awareness of after market parts being used, they said their answer would remain the same - no coverage on the parts.

I was told upon test drive it would be fixed. Was told to bring it to be looked at AFTER purchasing as we had a 30 day warranty with Full Throttle and they were too busy servicing other vehicles that they couldn’t get it in before then. Told us we couldn’t go to any other dealership or repair shop prior to those 30 days. When Full Throttle looked at it, they said it wasn’t a job they were going to do as they aren’t well equipped enough, and it takes too many hours and to “just use the warranty from ******** in a couple of weeks after ours expires.”

This vehicle was deemed dangerous and unsafe to drive. It has been taken off of my insurance. It can’t even be driven. A refund is the only way to rectify the situation. We were sold a vehicle with blown gaskets, broken engine, and a plethora of other issues. Dealership worker, Matt as well as auto technician from ********* ****, Tony would also be willing to testify to the damage caused to the vehicle by Full Throttle: Drilled Hole in the engine, after market parts, etc.

A service repair sheet was never given after ANY visits with Full Throttle when the vehicle was in their “care.” Fixing the vehicle is not an option. It is deemed unsafe.

    Sincerely,

    **** *******

To say the ticking noise is not the exhaust manifolds is not true. The dealership said exactly what it was. Attached will be photos. A certified dealership isn’t going to make up false issues especially when they did not want to do the work due to it being a hazard for them as well.

    To whom it may concern,

We do not make "false issues"; nevertheless, after expressing your distress and problems over the phone we had agreed to have the vehicle dropped off at our dealership on 04/01/2024 which we are still awaiting on.

I am rejecting this response because it is unsafe to drive and deemed a hazard. Driving it there over 30 miles is a danger to my life.

Purchased a 2014 ****** ****** truck from them on June 23 2023. At that date they replaced the spark plugs and advised me i would need to come back in 1 week to also replace the coil packs which I ended up having to do while I was in ***** on vacation and they reimbursed me for the parts I paid for. One of the other repairs they said they would do at their expense was to replace the fuel pump per the Manager who's name is Baker. I scheduled a day to come back 2 weeks after I purchased the truck for the repair and upon arriving for my appointment the mechanic on duty stated it wasn't the fuel pump and that it was just the air ride suspension and that he was not going to replace the fuel pump since it would come out of his pocket. Since them my truck as continued to have issues and random misfiring. On September 27th my check engine light came on and the code it threw was for multiple cylinder misfires. On thursdsy October 5th I brought it to ****** of ********** to have it diagnosed and they said the reason all 8 of my brand new cylinders were misfiring which made no sense. Upon further investigation they found they all my problems were due to the fuel pump. I called the place I purchased the truck from to complain to the manager as they were supposed to fix it and the mechanic chose not to. I have been calling full throttle power sports to resolve this issue but management has failed to return my calls. As of Saturday October 7th I needed the repair to be done as I have a very important job on Tuesday October 9th. I gave ****** of ********** the ok to do the repair but I am looking for reimbursement from Full Throttle Power Sports as I am now out $2000 for a repair they were supposed to do when I purchased the vehicle in June. The manager finally reached out at2pm on October 7th and stated he could only reimburse for the part but not any labor.I find this very unacceptable and poor service. This part should have been replaced entirely for free when they had it.

    To whom this may concern,

The vehicle purchased by Mr. ********, a 2014 ****** ****** delivered on 06/23/2023. Although the concerns and issues brought up by Mr. ******** are true each and every concern was addressed completely free of charge; this includes the Coil Packs purchased by the customer reimbursed, the control arm that suddenly broke and was purchased by the customer reimbursed, as well as the labor, programming, and replacement of the ABS pump done free of charge. On the scheduled date the customer brought in his vehicle to have the fuel pump replaced which was thought to be the source of a 'whining noise' on start up, our technician upon diagnosing the vehicle and verifying the source of the whining was not coming from the fuel pump and was in fact coming from the air ride pump. With this information we concluded that replacing the fuel pump would not resolve any issue and sent the customer away for that reason. Moving forward 4 months Mr. ******** contacted us on October requesting for the receipt for the Coil Packs he had reimbursed by us, and then a following phone call with Mr. ******** was made on 10/7/2023 where he explained his current issue and requesting he have the full service receipt by ****** in ********** covered at our expense. Due to the fact this issue is occurring 4 months after the purchase of the vehicle and well over the "Engine and Transmission Labor Warranty" that we offer we instead offered to cover the expense of the Fuel Pump, or to have the vehicle brought to us where we would cover the labor and part free of charge out of kind gesture which was turned down because he needed the vehicle for an important the following Monday.

    Best regards,

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

The technician misdiagnosed the issue being the air pump  in fact it was the fuel pump as well as the spark plugs they dis replace were not the right ones for my truck or installed correctly. This can all be verified by ****** of **********. The technician at full throttle simply was just doing a half ass job because he didn't want ro eat the cost of doing the fuel pump job for free.

    Sincerely,

    Christopher ********

    Business Response

    Date: 11/04/2023

    To whom it may concern,

Although rare, misdiagnosing can happen in the automotive industry. We did not refuse to do the fuel pump because our technician, "didn't want to eat the cost of doing the fuel pump for free" but instead was because we firmly believe after diagnosing your truck it wasn't the cause of noise being heard when starting the vehicle. Furthermore, it if it were a circumstance of us misdiagnosing the vehicle for you, we would have willingly serviced your vehicle at our repair shop to rectify for any short coming and to ensure you are a satisfied customer. However we were not given that opportunity because of the urgency you had to have the vehicle serviced in which you had ****** of ********** do the repairs and requested that we cover the repair bill which unfortunately cant do; as stated in the paper work signed when purchasing the vehicle.
