I waited 8 weeks for an appointment with the oral surgeon. For tooth extraction. I have had teeth pulled before 4 at one time with just novocaine. However today everything this Dr. K did was extremely painful. I believe that her continuing the procedure was unethical. She said at one point her instrument slipped into the tooth and raw pulp and nerves. I experienced some of the worst pain of my entire life. I am a 51 year old mother of 2 who was hit head on by a drunk driver. I know pain. This woman proceeded to tell me that the pain was my fault. I have also had 3 fillings by another dentist there and 2 already fell out its only been weeks. Also had no tooth pain before visiting this office. Now I have more problems then before. I feel like they do poor work to insure u return. No ethical doctor would make u wait 2 months in pain for an appointment then torture you at the appointment

In July I went for a checkup, the dentist told me he needed to pull my top four front teeth and would order a partial. I panicked telling him my daughter was getting married in September and lost her dad so I would be walking her down the isle. We waited 30 years for this day, he assured me it would be approved and completed prior to the wedding in September. Weeks later I called to inquire on the status and was told by Cassandra they hadn't checked as they only do so once a month so I called my insurance to inquire myself. They told me it was denied and they suggested a full rather than a partial. Two months later I called to see if the dentist had appealed their decision due to the fact that I wasn't eligible for a full because of the size and structure of my pallet. My insurance told me they never heard from anyone since July 18th. I was devastated as they said all the dentist had to do was call the Pre-Authorization and explain this to them as apparently, he didn't originally as there wasn't enough space on the online submittal form. I recently found out the dentist no longer works at this office. They told me to come in to be re-evaluated by the new dentist who couldn't of been more unfriendly. He had no personality whatsoever, he didn't even introduce himself all he did was refer me to UConn which I can't go to as I don't have transportation especially, it being over an hour away. I've lost sleep, never been so stressed in my entire life as there is no possible way I can go to my daughter's wedding looking like I do and talking like I do without my top four front teeth. This is unacceptable and sadly, nobody seemed to care. If I knew this was going to happen I would of waited until after the wedding. Because the dentist is responsible for me missing the happiest day of my life and doing this to my daughter too he should provide me with flippers. They are not covered by insurance but under the circumstances it is the least he can do so I'm able to go.
