    Mr. Handyman of Upper Fairfield County is not a very good company. Hired them to replace some facia boards and about a dozen cedar shingles. Arnold the contractor showed up and was very pleasant. Asked him to clean gutters while there . First day 8 hours purchased materials and spent 4 hours cleaning gutters and replaced one facia board. Second day replaced another 3 foot facia board and used about 48 cedar shingles that I provided to replace about 12 shingles on the house. Suspect he made a bunch of bad cuts to use the 48. Then started to paint and left mid stroke on a trim board. At this point I am nearly $1,900 into the work and request he return and finish painting the dozen repaired shingles at no cost. Told I had to pay for work. He returned the third day to paint the shingles and presented a bill for 4 hours, $500 to paint 12-14 shingles, which we refused to pay. Steer clear of this company as they do not back there work. No one came from the office to see the work that the contractor performed against the hours charged.

    11/2024: Mr. Handyman of Ffld Cty is a sub-standard company with employees who lie and are incompetent. Claimed they could fix my windows, sent this guy Salvatore who said he had wrong part, would order correct one; yet he caused more damage where I could no longer lift the window up. Then Lauren at Handyman kept lying about the part being in each time I called the office and they never called or came back. Had to file a complaint with the CT Consumer Protection and that office made Mr. Handyman of Upper Fairfield County refund all monies given; received a full refund.
