Unfortunately, the Puppy Palace sold me a sick puppy. The day I scheduled a play date with my Yorkie, I noticed he had been hacking/coughing like something was stuck in his throat. I asked two employees about it, and they both separately and casually attributed it to "overstimulation." In retrospect, I wonder if that's a response they rehearse if a customer questions a puppy's wellbeing.
As a first-time pet owner, I naively trusted them and brought him home the same day. I've had him for just two days, and his hacking/cough has persisted. I had to bring him to a local emergency vet as the ******** *** ****** recommended in the Puppy Palace's puppy warranty is one, far away, and two, couldn't see him in an appropriate time frame. Time was of the essence as the Puppy Palace's warranty becomes void if a vet doesn't check your dog within seven business days.
It turns out he has infectious tracheobronchitis and pneumonia. The vet results show that he was indeed sick while in Puppy Palace's care, although the Puppy Palace's health record indicated that he was healthy. This discrepancy is not only concerning for my puppy but also raises the alarm for the potential risk to other puppies in their care. Based on the information I received from the vet, other puppies in their care are likely infected.
Based on this experience, I would not recommend getting a pet from the Puppy Palace. I've submitted a claim on their website for this incredible inconvenience and hope to receive a response and reimbursement for my costly vet visit sooner rather than later.

******** we are saddened to hear about your Yorkie being sick. He arrived at our facility on the evening of Thursday, July 11, 2024. He had his Health check on Friday, July 12, 2024. The results of his exam with our Veterinarian determined him healthy at that point and time. He received his Bordetella Vaccine the morning of Sunday, July 14, 2024, which is the day you took him home.
Unfortunately, puppies are like babies and are very susceptible. Which is why we try to limit any playtime for our puppies with people that aren't serious about adopting them. An illness can be incubating in a puppy and not show up for 7 to 10 days. This is the reason we have our Health Warranty.
All of our puppies are checked by our Veterinarian on a regular basis. If they show any signs of an illness and we are aware of it, we address it immediately and do not allow them to go to their furever homes. We take the health and safety of our puppies seriously.
Your claim will be processed in a timely manner.

My family and I went into the Puppy Palace today and immediately wanted to contact corporate.
First off there was NOBODY up front when we walked in the location. Anyone could’ve smashed the glass taken an animal and ran or stolen merchandise from the store. We shouted hello numerous times with no response from anyone. Second, when we walked around the showroom. EVERY dog was lying in their urine and fecal matter. The dogs all had fecal matter in their fur on their paws. One dog was eating its fecal matter and tossing it around the cage like a toy. We wanted to look at a golden retriever and had to go into the back of the store where it is EMPLOYEES ONLY and knock on a door to get someone’s attention. When we got this woman’s attention she was the most unwelcoming person I have ever met. Very snotty and short. Very disappointed in this experience and worried about the well being of these animals. Went over to the *** ***** ** ********** and it was a total different experience. It was a clean welcoming experience!

This place get NO stars! Called the *********** STORE to ask if dogs were allowed in the store was told YES! Drove all the way to the store and the man in the store told us NO DOGS ALLOWED! BELOW ZERO SCORE. HE WAS ALSO BERY RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS TO US!!!!! They are horrible to their customers, lie over the phone to callers and obviously don’t want any business. Really makes you wonder how they TREAT THE ANIMALS IN THERE.
