I am filing a formal complaint against [Dealership Name] regarding their extreme delay in repairing my vehicle, a [2024 Jeep ******** *** ******], which has been in their possession since early June 2024. The vehicle was stolen in May 2024, recovered, and shipped to my home state of ***********, where it was taken to this dealership for necessary repairs.

I was originally told I would have my vehicle back by September 2024, yet as of February 2025, it remains unrepaired. I have reached out multiple times but received minimal communication and repeated false promises that the vehicle will be ready “in a few weeks.” Most recently, I was told it might be ready in another three weeks, but I have heard this multiple times without results. I am now told that there are more issues and I am afraid to get the car back as I feel there will still be issues and I will be nervous to drive it on the road.

This delay is completely unacceptable and financially damaging, as I am still paying for my leased vehicle while being unable to use it for over eight months. I am seeking:
      1. A firm completion date for my vehicle’s repairs.
      2. An explanation for the delays and the lack of communication.
      3. Compensation for the financial hardship caused by this unreasonable wait.

Desired Resolution: Expedited repair of my vehicle and compensation for the financial burden caused by the delays.

      Thank you for your time!

I purchased a new Jeep ***** ******** July 31, 2021. Mid July 2022 the issue began. The car would not start because the brake could not be pressed down to start the car. The brake was "frozen" and rock hard. Car towed to offending Jeep service. The issue happened again December 2023, car towed to service. Then again May 21 2024, car towed. Was told starter batteries were the problem paid $969.91 on May 22, 2024. On May 27, 2024 car would not start again. Two days later it started and I drove it to Jeep service. Anthony, service manager, told me issue was due to low key fob batteries. He changed them. June 2, 2024 it happened again, car towed. June 13, 2024 it happened again. June 21, 2024 it happened again, they had car until July 3, 2024. July 14 it happened again. Brought car in on July 26 because I was told a field tech will come out and diagnose issue. I have a case number with Jeep ******** Management HQ#******** which I opened up back in April. My case manager is named Seun ###-###-####. As of this writing, Jeep still has my car. I've called Jeep service and texted BOTH Anthony and Zee and NO one will call me back regarding status of car. It's been in the service department since LAST Friday, July 26. I've missed numerous appointments, social events and vacations due to this SAME ongoing issue. I've asked Seun to look into a "buy back" for some time now, but it HAS NOT been done. I've been treated UNACCEPTABLY, been ignored and I believe discriminated against because I am a female. Please help me as I can't live like this. I'm terrified that I will be stranded late at night by myself because my car won't start. I've had to rent a car bc Jeep could not/would not give me a loaner. I have multiple texts and emails as proof of above. I'm returning rental car tomorrow and will get a paid invoice. Please help me in whatever capacity you can as I'm at the end of my rope and need help with a resolution. I don't know where else to

I bought my car to the service department under the impression that it was cover by warranty on March 14th my vehicle wasn’t diagnosed until April 3 they said the warranty covered the water pump but not serpentine belt which was $80. Upon arrival the service manager told me i had to come pick up the car they know longer wanted to work on it and starting my vehicle white smoke started coming out the pipes as i drove a quarter mile the engine starts to knock. I was never offered a service loaner a rental car of any sort for a vehicle i pay 640.88 monthly for. So the same day i tow it to ******* Jeep Chrysler dodge city ram of ******* they take a month to diagnose it there so im two months without a car no loaner and the service department says to me “ given the condition of the vehicle with bolts and other things missing from the vehicle makes repairs not covered under warranty. Basically if Chrysler wants to authorize and pay us we can”

Before dropping car I explained to phone rep and service department the issue my car was having. I dropped car off and was told it was $199 for diagnostics and if repairs there the fee would go towards repairs . I received a phone call next day stating timing was off in engine and once that was addressed car would not have engine light and the issues I was complaining about would resolve. They said it would be $1400 to fix. I said go ahead if that’s gonna fix my problem .

I went to pick car up today and they’re telling me that after doing the timing they now realize the problem is bigger than they thought and I’m still responsible for the repairs they did which they initially thought would fix car.

They dropped it to $1063 and I had to pay cash to get my car back.

My car is still doing everything it did when I dropped it to get diagnosed and I find that to be a rip off to have paid over $1063 and it still have every single problem it had when I dropped it .

I am not working at the moment and literally just had a baby via csection.

I am asking that they please atleast refund my money minus the diagnosis fee.
I don’t mind paying $200 for the diagnosis but the additional $800 and change for my car to be in the same condition is unfair,

      Hello BBB

      .

Sorry for the delay in response

This guest was aware and approved and paid the for the correct diagnostic procedure. We had to remove the front cover to inspect the timing marks of the engine timing chain which is 5 hours of technician's time.

This was the vehicles first and only time at our shop. We found the timing chain not installed properly and engine had signs of recent repair. We gave a full estimate of what it would be to correct the condition and the guest declined.

To sum it up   This guest had repairs performed elsewhere and uses other shops, this is her first-time servicing with us and whoever worked on the vehicle previously did not do the correct repairs, we found the problem, which was probably caused by another shop, she declined us performing the repairs and now having buyer's remorse after finding out there is a major concern with the engine.

On March 6 2024, I left a deposit of $1000.00 dollars (I used my debit card -*****), for a car. They never found the model I asked for. So I decide to go to another dealer in ******** **.
They promised me to return my deposit.
Is over a month, I keep calling, email, go in person and I have always the same answer, that they will do it and its not happening.
I believed they are trying to keep my deposit and never had any intention to return it.

I dropped my car off to the dealer on 1/22/24 for regular maintenance and sound on front-end of Jeep ********.
Didn't hear from dealer until 2wks after drop-off, 1st the car needed a battery alternator, then it needed a starter, a wiring harness, then we got another call it's the computer (this is all within 2mths). After 2mths of the car being in the shop, we finally get a call to pick the car up on 3/27 the total cost was $3,902.74. So, on 3/28 I go and get the car, I pay out of pocket $2,402.70 as my vehicle warranty covered the rest. As I pull out the parking lot, I notice the battery light is on, the service park assistant light is on, and the backup camera light is on and the front-end noise that the car originally went in for was still there (I recorded everything for my records). So, I turned back around to the dealer. Neither the maintenance nor the manager could explain why the car was not fixed and all those lights were on especially after the car has been there for 2mths, they say the car is ready and I just finished paying for it. (So, the car is back at the shop)
3/28 -The manager states that I can get a loaner and they will work on the car (please note that we have been without a loaner since we dropped the car off the 1st time and have been *******). I return the next day 3/29 and was told that they did not have any loaners after I was promised one and till this day I have not heard from the dealer regarding my car. I have emailed the manufacture 2 times prior to me picking the car up and once after I paid and have not heard anything from them, we know they received the complaint, but they have not resolved anything. I find it to be very unacceptable and disappointing for a large dealership to treat their customers this way. we have been going to this dealer for 6 or so years and management has changed for the worse. the way they treat their customers is unacceptable.
