My company is an alternative landscaping company. I do not offer mowing or lawn services, any large tree work and anything to do with fertilizing or pesticides.
I also do very little formal landscaping with densely packed herbaceous plant dominated landscapes. My landscapes compared to the trade standard would be considered "untidy, messy, weedy, etc." From a quick look maybe, but my gardens provide season long appeal with flowers blooming from early spring to late fall, as well as providing habitat for pollinators and birds in the winter.
The services I provide also promote biodiversity as the average landscape has under 10 species of plants while some of my gardens boast over 50!
Occasionally I'll have free plants and free seeds to give out. Ill deliver them when convenient for me and you can either pay me to install them or you can have a demonstration on how to plant and it can be more of a do it yourself type of thing.
For larger jobs initial deposits of half are required. For smaller day jobs or jobs that are only a few hours and be paid day of.
