On 8/16/24 I contacted Brooksvale Artisans via ****. After communicating for a few days and dealing with a highly detailed order, Alan J***** gave me his phone number and asked me to call him to work through the details. On 8/22/24 I placed an order for 2 flat files. Alan J***** with Brooksvale Artisans emailed me an invoice with a link to pay a $2000 deposit. I paid for the deposit. Alan said it would take between 4-6 weeks. At the 4 week mark, I emailed Alan (on 9/20/24) to get an update. He said it was being painting and that he would send pictures when it was completed. A couple more weeks went by without hearing anything. I emailed him back on 10/16/24 asking for another update. This time I did not get a response. I started calling him on 10/17 and have been calling every day since. I would still be waiting had my husband and I not started to do our own research. We found on yelp 4 reviews where he did the exact same thing to other people. He has not responded to any correspondence in over 3 weeks. Based on what he did to others and not taking my calls or answering my emails I am now assuming that Alan is a con artist and has scammed me.
