On Wednesday February 22nd 2023, I purchased items at the JRS convenience store at *** ******** ****** ** ******** *********** totaling the amount of $5. I purchased these items with my credit card and therefore did not require a receipt as the receipt is sent to my phone as proof of purchase. Upon getting home and receiving a phone call I noticed the message that came in indicated I was charged $6.71 for my items purchased. I immediately returned to the store and informed the same cashier of the overcharge. She got someone to cover the line went into the system to check for the my purchase by requesting the last four digits of my credit card number. She indicated that she could not find it, I informed her I had just left a few minutes ago and she said I remember. Finally she printed out a receipt that indicated the purchase was $5.49. I said that is not my purchase because it clearly states right here in my phone $6.71 was purchased at Jrs convenience on the date and time she looked and proceeded to read the remaining balance and said that I read it wrong. I said no right below that is the purchase amount and proceeded to show everyone around the cash register and they all said yes Miss(cashier) that's the purchase amount you read it wrong. She said well that's your bank's error you need to contact them I asked for the manager she said he is not around. I said I didn't ask if he was around I want to speak to your manager what's his number when will he be here? She said well he's not around he never comes here. I said well I want my money back and she begins to refund my money in cash. I said I would like my money back on my card so that I can get my full amount she said I can't do it because the system doesn't recognize your card I don't know where you came from please leave the store I have other customers to take care of. Take what you got and buy some food you look like you need it.
