      ****Evaluation of Attorney James R*** - A Dismal Experience****
      Engaging James R*** proved financially and legally damaging.
      R*** violated his fiduciary and professional duties and permanently destroyed my finances. Caution is advised before engaging James R***. Details follow
      **Mediation Proceedings and Abandonment
      4/15 Engaged Atty James R*** to review mediated Lump-Sum (LS) settlement.
      R*** was strongly against LS & favored paying alimony for 11 yrs,132 payments
      I directed R*** to pursue LS only
      9/15 Parties approved mediated LS settlement pending closure of minor issues
      R*** falsely justified leaving mediation, pursuing costly lawyer-led negotiations.
      **R*** Competency Issues**
      R*** frequently failed fiduciary and competent representation duties increased divorce $$ from $15K to $350K
      Faulty $$ models from R*** team functioning as glorified data entry clerks
      R*** team's lack of accounting SME/certifications prevented counter offers from Outside Counsel OC to be competently evaluated
      PD financial health predicated on accurate financial models
      Model inaccuracy forced $125K, 401K withdrawal & $1000/Mo x 36 penalty
      Failed to investigate additional $200K of spousal assets
      **R*** Advocacy Shortcoming**
      Violated fiduciary duty by dismissing request to audit OC’s billing to client funded retainer for legal compliance & return of unspent $$
      Allowed OC to renege on past approvals & cancel meetings/court appearances to cover OC's lack of readiness.
      Withheld info about legal remedies for addressing spouse's wasting of time and money
      Called R*** for options to avoid PD financial ruination. Response was, "live with it"
      PD lawyer got immediate approval to replace R*** recommended 11yr/132 payment alimony with LS settlement disproving R***'s statement to the contrary.
