That on the 31st of January 2024, I went to the above branch of Autozone Auto Parts to buy Torque converter and transmission oil for my 2011 ********** ****** **. I gave the associate the description of my vehicle. He checked on his computer and took the details of the parts into the warehouse. After some minutes, he brought the oil and asked that I pick up the torgue converter at **** **** ****** ******. I left with the oil to the other branch where I picked the converter. On Saturday, when my mechanic completed the job, he poured the oil into the transmission. Everything was fine. The shift was smooth and I paid and took my car. I was happy that after the long wait, my car was finally ready and working fine. On my way back home, the car suddenly began to skip. I immediately took it back to the mechanic. He diagnosed and discovered that a *** oil meant for ***** was given to me instead of an *** oil. In my frustration, I went back to the branch and complained. They (including the manager - John) confirmed that I was given a wrong oil. I paid for the correct oil and took it to another mechanic, who flushed the oil and poured the new one. At this point, the transmission has been damaged. I complained to the customer service representative at the headquarters and a case was opened for me. It was referred to the regional office. Their amoral attitude towards my ordeal has prompted me to seek for your intervention. Apart from the $1,350 I spent with the first mechanic, I have now paid $5,500 to ***** to fix it. I am by this medium, asking for your intervention as this has caused me untold hardship. I have attach a picture of the diagnoses showing that the oil damaged the transmission.
