  SHAME on ***** **** for selling this to us. ***** **** called us and sold this as their own. We were apprehensive of these warranty companies but the agent sold this as a ***** **** policy. It is not. It is just another SCAM warranty company as they all are. Were told all things were covered. Well my six year old fridge mother board broke and it was denied due to our refrigerator is not built in. Who has built it appliances? It was hooked into water but still denied. Another SCAM. SHAME ON ***** ****. Like a good neighbor. BULL. I don't want them as my neighbor. We will be dropping this coverage

  This is a dishonest dirty company hiding as ***** **** coverage of Home Systems Protection. I unfortunately found out when I filed a claim for my ac and furnace that I would be going through a third party for the claim and the third party is Hartford Steam Boiler. Why was I never told about this when I added this to my homeowners policy? This company will only cover $2000 anything over 15 years old. Well in that case most ac units are covered under warranty in that time span, so basically this is worthless coverage. They only gave $2000 for both my ac unit and furnace calling it one instance. They finalized my claim before receiving all the information. I spoke with an HSB supervisor and this guy was just condescending and could care less. I hope ***** **** realizes that this company is giving them a bad name. All this is, is just "bait and switch." If your insurance agent asks if you would be interested in adding this to your policy make sure to ask if this is under Hartford Steam Boiler. This should really be looked into by ***** **** and Insurance Commissioners.

  HSB is a rip off!!!!! When we purchased the policy through our ***** **** Agent, we were not told that ******** would be administering the claim. Our claim has been denied. When we call ***** **** Claims, they are rude and tell us we must talk to ********. I have explained to my agent that the check for the premium was made out to ***** **** and not ********. I feel as if my agent has misrepresented what he was selling me.

  In my experience, they deny all homeowners claims. Don't waste your money on this garbage - purchased coverage though State Farm.
  Someone needs to start a class action suit against them.

  Scam insurance company. They will deny your claim while telling you the opposite, terrible response time and will not honor the terms of insurance policy.

  This company was used through ***** **** - the person I dealt with through email, would take forever to reply, then stopped responding to emails altogether. Did not let even let me know they denied the claim, although it was an error by the plumbing company. I recommend you find someone else who is easier to work with.

  Don't not use this company. In fact they should be investigated to see if they are a legit company. After reading the other reviews plus my own experience it doesn't seem to add up. This company did not reach out to me until 3 wks after the incident. I provided them with all the information which my insurance agent said they would need. They did not want to cover the claim and stated in fine print in there contract this issue was not covered. They could not provide me with the actual content. The guy also said don't worry you don't pay that much for this coverage. That leads me to believe they never pay out. They should be investigated. I am out thousands of dollars for something they should of covered. Its not right when you get this extra insurance so things like this do not happen.
