    After diagnosis at ******* ***** on ** **** ******* **** in ******** ***********.

Me ******* ***** **** was told by Scott B***** that the car has misfire codes in several cylinders ran AF test it failed needs fuel injectors... suspected blown head gasket.... removed spark plugs and inspected...ran cooling system pressure test and found coolant is leaking into cylinder and fiber optic camera
Needs to tear down. Needs head gasket but may also need cylinder head.

Depending on condition when torn down. Customer declined repairs.. strongly recommended not to drive at all .
More engine damage might potentially occur including potential catastrophic engine failure due to possible overheating misfire etc...

    That was their diagnosis...

Now after bringing the car to the dealership that I actually purchased the car from.... they told me that is not the problem after having all of the documentation in front of them. They came up with their own diagnosis which was fuel injector kit totaled to $928.22. a total conflict

The vehicle purchased by Ms. ******* **** was sold approximately seven months ago. At the time of sale, the vehicle passed inspection and emissions and was in full driving order. No extended warranty was purchased, and the dealer warranty has since expired.
Ms. **** later brought the vehicle back to us with concerns. We performed a diagnostic at no charge and determined the issue to be the fuel injectors. We provided a fair and transparent repair quote totaling $928.22.
While the customer referenced a different diagnosis from another shop, our findings did not match those claims.
The customer also verbally admitted to having the wrong ignition coils installed  into the vehicle. Any resulting issues from customers care are not a responsibility of us. For any additional information, reach us directly via email: *********************.

    Thank you.

    Complaint: ********

    I am rejecting this response because;

I complained about the issue many times. I did bring him the vehicle and he claimed he fixed the issue. Upon getting the vehicle back in my possession, the issue was still not fixed. This is the reason why I went and got a 2nd opinion. I feel he should pay for the entire cost to fix the vehicle. While the shop had my vehicle, I had to walk to and from work. This was a big issue as I had to turn down other jobs as well. This whole experience could have been avoided if he would had fixed the issue BEFORE the car was sold to me.

    Sincerely,

    **** ********

After receiving the initial complaint from Mr. ********, we advised him to bring in the 2014 ********* ******** to get diagnosed. As a courtesy we provided him with a loaner vehicle and sent the vehicle to **** ******** ********* for an expert opinion. The Chevy franchise dealer technician/service adviser told us that there is no transmission codes but the stumble felt is from a leaking steering rack. As advised we contacted Mr. ********'s warranty and got approval to replace it and authorization to do so. Authorization #*******. We performed the work, got it aligned at **** **** ****, and delivered the vehicle to the customer. We good willed Mr. ********'s $100 deductible and sales tax. We would like to note that the customer's *** powertrain plus warranty has a max $115.00/hr labor rate, does not cover rental/loaner cost, has a $100 deductible and does not cover sales tax. We made sure that Mr. ******** did not come out of pocket.

After receiving the second complaint, we advised the customer to get a second opinion. Mr. ******** brought the vehicle to ***** ******** ************ and was advised that it needed a Transaxle Overhaul. *** warranty approved the claim and authorized the work. Authorization #*******. ***** ******** ************ has a labor rate of $129.00/hr. Mr. ******** demanded that we pay for the extra $14/hr for 19.8 hours, $100 deductible and sales tax. Lex Autos LLC offered to cover the $100 deductible and the overage of labor rate($14.00x20 hours) for a total of $380.00, although we are not required or expected to do so. This was offered verbally to the customer and the repair facility. We feel this was more than fair. The adviser at ***** ******** ************ thought that as well. The customer declined and demanded that we cover all costs. We were told, and I quote "this is unacceptable and expect a phone call". At this point, after receiving a complaint through the BBB we decline to pay the amount offered prior.

All above statements are backed up by documents provided below.

    Respectfully,

    Lex Autos LLC
